Do Thermal Printers Have Print Heads

I have now replaced both print heads on this old IPF-5100 printer. This is what I love about canon printers (among other things), you can replace the print head and have a like new printer. I love this printer, built like a tank and although OEM inks for it seem in short supply I will continue to use it until it falls apart. To bad Canon doesn't make a 17 roll feed printer anymore.

ALWAYS get the warranty. This is great to replace the print heads which tend to die on our printers every 2 years.

Excellent product. B&H was out of the ones with the surface I usually use, so I picked the thermal print surface type. It's also great to write on.

These print well in my Casio CW-50 Thermal Printer and I don't ever recall having a bad burn with one of them. Although they are rated at 16x, I usually burn at 8x and have never had a problem.

I love this printer. Right selection of media to choose from and no ink to replenish (Thermal) you can print using the app for your phone or a USB cable to print from your computer. Compact and easy to use.

Only once did I use a alternate ink in one of my printers only to have the ink heads to clog. Cost me much more than if I had stayed with the manufacture's ink.

It fullfils all the characteristics to print photos with ink jet printers.

Had given up on printer, but decided to try new print heads. Fixed the problems.
