Do Wireless Chargers Degrade Battery

Apparently some non-Nikon chargers will degrade the age of the battery shown in the D800 battery checker. This one did not although I've only used it once to test the aging issue. I got it because the plug on the Nikon charger does not fold into the body making it too bulky to carry in my Think Tank holster. This solved that problem. However, when I have my Tamrac backpack with me the Nikon charger is available and I use it in preference to this one due to residual uncertainty over the aging issue.

I use this with Eneloop batteries and for the features it is a best buy. There are faster chargers on the market but they degrade battery life. Keep a days worth of batteries for your shoot and recharge overnight.

Between battery grips, strobes, and wireless triggers I need to charge dozens of AA batteries for a shoot. I bought three of these, and now can pop in two dozen at a time, walk away, and know that the chargers will individually top off each battery and then turn off. I've used faster chargers, but am not happy with how hot they make the cells. These still make the cells warm, but at a level I'm comfortable with. This takes charging to a new level of sophistication and convenience.

WHY DIDNT THEY DO THIS FOR THE NP-FZ100 CHARGERS??? Very small charger with folding two-prong electrical plug. Not the fastest charger but certainly the most reliable that I've used so far for the little NP-FW50 batteries.

Do not play with power, it's always peace of mind to use original batteries or chargers. I already tried third party batteries and they won't last as long as the original.

Battery chargers, what can you say? This one works and doesn't take a week to charge the battery.

Works great with dual battery chargers.

Lots of battery life for my XA25 (or XA20 for those who have that). Didn't seem to degrade as fast as the Canon one.

Does not degrade the image.

I’ve only used the batteries and chargers twice so far but they work as advertised on my wireless HDMI unit.
