These are great batteries, easy to charge. I use these in flashlights, remotes and xbox controllers. I am done with expensive disposal battery purchases since they have gone up exponentially in cost.

Do not think about it. Just buy this mic.

As of July '23 this is the best money can buy for Xbox series console. The fact that the presets save to the headset themselves, so you don't need a PC and don't lose any audio quality once connected to console, is vital. It also has the best quality mic for Xbox Series systems. The only gripe I have is that when muted, you can still hear yourself talking, so it's sometimes hard to tell if you're actually muted or not. Also, I would love a mute light to illuminate somewhere on the mic boom so that I could see I was muted without having to check party chat, or whatever. I'm not a fan of the headband design, I wish they used a bungee like SteelSeries does, because the leather band slides easily off my head when bending down to pick something up. A few design tweaks, and this thing would be nearly flawless!

All whining aside, THESE DO THE JOB. The stock items on most mic stands DON’T and simply pale in comparison. Due to thickness and diameter, these can be gripped and tightened / loosened by hand much more effectively than the “lesser” substitutes. I have tooled up to replace almost all of my stock mic stand jam nuts with these. At first, it hurt the wallet a bit. Now, that cost has been more than paid in increased serenity. Along the way, I developed an axiom: “Friends don’t let friends use $#!++y mic stands”. I’ve amended that to include $#!++y jam nuts.

Noticeable improvement over wind noise. If you are getting the mic you might as well get the most out of it by getting this. Do you want a cake with no icing? No!

Is this the tippy top of the line mic that's out there...no. Do I get significantly improved audio in this mic, compared to say a RODE on camera mic...yes. I love the RODE NTG2 and NTG1, but I have had some of the other DSLR mics and have found the audio to be lacking on those. This has helped a ton in my video production. Frequently I have mounted on camera, but it also works well on a boom pole.

Good to the last drop, not that it dropped the mic or anything, it was just a phrase...perhaps not the best choice. Do I get points for witty?
