Does A Router Work Without Internet Provider

I tried a competitors thermostat. It would not work through my internet. They blamed in on my service provider, my router and my iPhone. Had an Ecobee installed and it worked perfectly in a few minutes. Both installer and I were totally pleased.

So far it exceeds my expectations, faster than my previous router provided by internet provider.

We have high speed internet and numerous devices...with the provided router from our internet provider we were having issue after issue due to provided router. Once we replaced the old router with the Orbi all problems resolved! Problem solved! No more dropped connections, no more streaming issues, no more slow speeds! GREAT!

I purchased this because my internet provider told me I needed more speed. This router will last a long time and then some.

My internet provider informed me that I needed a new router. This one was recommended and is performing a promised.

This is much better than the one the internet provider rents to me!!

My cable provider’s internet router has such bad coverage in our house. I would try to watch my favorite shows, but was unable because my speed was 5 mbps upstairs. Getting the Orbi, my whole home now has the same excellent internet speed of 80 mbps. Plus I have added security and a simple app to control everything! Love it!

We have been having issues with our cable/internet provider for awhile now. I decided I would just purchase a router/modem instead of leasing one from the provider. My only regret I have is not getting this sooner! We have no dead zones in our house and the best part is I can now watch tv in my work shop because the wifi signal is super strong! I highly recommend this product!

I bought this cable modem to avoid renting one for internet from my internet provider. I've only had it for 9 days but appears to be working for my house, so I am happy with my internet access and speed at this point. It was easy to set up and pair with the router I bought, so I can say it is very user friendly for non-techy types. :-) I found researching other users' reviews from several websites helpful in determining which modem and router would work best with my internet provider and my household. I believe my purchases are worth the money spent and will meet my needs for awhile.

After many calls with our internet provider, we decided to give a new router a try. This was the best decision we made and are extremely happy with this router as it significantly reduced stress that was caused by family members having to "schedule" internet times for work, school and play. Recommended to a friend who is happy with their purchase as well.
