Does Acer Monitor Come With Displayport Cable

After a long search for a solution for the B326HK monitor that there were problems when the monitor came out of hibernation, I can today, March 5, 2015 writing down the solution. Acer does not deliver it properly DisplayPort cable with this monitor. Because the included DisplayPort cable can NOT support 4K. The solution is you need a DisplayPort cable type HBR2. Such a cable which certainly works on the B326HK monitor can been find at this link http://www.startech.com/Cables/Audio-Video/DisplayPort/displayport-cable-10ft-certified~DISPLPORT10L . I have informed Acer and they will contact the manufacturer for this cable for replacement.

I bought this cable to connect an HP t630 thin client to an Acer monitor that has a DVI input but no HDMI or DisplayPort input. It works perfectly - no problems.

I don't know what the haters have been smoking, but obviously they haven't educated themselves... I've been using the DisplayPort 1.2 setting in the monitor menu and using a DisplayPort 1.2+ capable cable since 2018 with no issues running the monitor at 4k at 60hz since 2018. I think the haters haven't even opened their settings menus to confirm if they're using the highest version of DisplayPort on their monitor lol. It takes 15 seconds to navigate to the menu, if it's not working then switch your DP cable because you're probably rocking a 1.1 or less version that's been sitting in your closet for too long. This is one of the best value 4k monitors besides using a small 4k value tv. It has impressive color range and accuracy with 10 bit color vs the usual 8 bit you'll see even modern tvs still using, and if you haven't made the switch to 4k or even 1440p yet and wonder if the difference is worth it, trust me I have a fine pair of glasses on and the difference in clarity is night and day resolution wise for reading text like this and detail for movie viewing is quite nice and the viewing angles are amazing for value LED, the next step up from here is getting a higher refresh rate 4k oled for me eventually.

On my mac mini 2018 with a 4k monitor, I swapped an HDMI to HDMI cable with this thunderbolt to displayport cable. Huge difference! Before, the entire display was sluggish and unresponsive. Now, the picture is sharp, and the UI is smooth and responsive.

First be sure to get the IOGEAR DisplayPort 1.4 Male Cable to get 60hz refresh rate. A standard HDMI will only give you 30hz and the monitor will feel sluggish and pixelated. Second, wow, what a bargain. I bought this monitor for photo editing and I'm blown away with the clarity, color, and vibrancy. Albeit, it was a big upgrade from my 10 year old monitors, but I really couldn't ask for anything better. I even played a few games that ran smooth as butter. I might even buy a second one.

I had thought I was getting a monitor that 1) had a mini DisplayPort but it is DisplayPort (they are different but that's on me) and 2) was adjustable in height (it is not—also on me for not reading the description more carefully). Neither of these is a problem for my wife, who is using this monitor, and she is very pleased with the size and quality of the image (she does primarily writing and finance work). I'll need to get a different cable to be able to plug it in to the DisplayPort (I'm currently using a VGA-to-USB-C adapter directly into the computer whereas the dock she uses only has a miniDisplayPort—the cable is cheap so not a big deal). I do graphic design so my first instinct when I turned it on was that the image was too bright and the colors a little muted (the adjustments I made didn't change this too dramatically although I got it better...) but this is not surprising as it is not a very expensive monitor. My wife, however, doesn't need high resolution or rich colors and is completely happy. As long as you read the description more carefully than I did and the monitor suits your needs, I think you'll be happy with this monitor.

The Pearstone DisplayPort 2.1. DP40 is a great cable for my 4k monitor. It looks like a normal cable but it has some serious stats to it. It can handle up to 8k at 30hz or 4k at 144hz as well as carrying HDR10+ and Dolby vision. If you are a gamer this cable is a great high performance cable. The build quality seems solid too. Gold-plated connectors are always a nice touch, and the PVC jacket feels durable. At 6.6 feet long, it's got enough reach for most setups without being overkill. All in all, if you need a reliable, high-performance DisplayPort cable, this Pearstone one is definitely worth checking out. [I received this item in exchange for my honest review]

Pretty basic Male-to-Male DisplayPort cable which runs between a desktop and monitor. The cable appears to be well-built and I have no no issues with it so far.

If you have a Dell Latitude with a docking station, the only way you can get full resolution on a 30 monitor is with a DisplayPort cable. This did the trick.
