Does Apple Computer Have Internal Voltage Converter

I use a Presonus Firestudio Project, which uses a Firewire connection, in my home studio. Of course, Firewire is a dead standard but I had seen that Apple had a converter to go from Firewire to Thunderbolt, so when I ordered my ASUS Republic of Gamers computer from B&H of course I ordered the Apple converter too. Unfortunately what I didn't realize was that the Thunderbolt end was the older, larger connector, and the computer had a USB-C/Thunderbolt connector that's a different size. So I still couldn't make the last mile. I ordered this converter, and it works perfectly. A couple of words of caution, though. It didn't work right away, not because of the converter but because of quirks in the Presonus hardware and their Studio One software. If you're looking at this for the same reason, be sure to remember to install Universal Control off the disk that came with the hardware first. Then download the update. It might take a few restarts to get the computer to see the Firestudio Project and get the light to turn blue. Once you've done that, if you're using Studio One and it doesn't show up automatically you can manually select it as the audio device. Then you'll be good to go. This converter has been a lifesaver. I can now record again, and I don't have to try to talk my wife into letting me buy a new audio interface!

Does the job ( Apple Time Capsule internal disk replaced). Fairly quiet and great price from B&H.

In switching to a new Apple computer with a processor 3x's faster than my old one, I couldn't afford an upgrade to the 4TB internal drive and instead went with the SanDisk PRO-G40. After running several Disk Speed Tests this is almost as fast as an internal Apple SSD and it cost less than half. Shipping as always from B&H was super fast and I couldn't be more pleased with this SSD.

Needed a voltage converter for some UISP hardware to mix with the Unifi stuff and this did the job.

I bought this product for travel to europe and it is ideal for that purpose-it even comes with a a voltage converter. Charging was fast, much faster than usb charging. The camera is free to be used since it is not tethered by a usb cord.

I purchased the Fujifilm NP-W126S battery as a spare for my X-S10. I purchased the Fujifilm battery as opposed to a third party battery, even though they are more expensive, for several reasons: 1. Use of a Fujifilm battery maintains warranty coverage in the event of a battery induced problem. 2. Fujifilm batteries provide longer useful operating time per charge (https://ultralightphotography.net/gear/fuji-cameras/everything-you-wanted-to-know-about-np-w126-batteries/) 3. The voltage discharge curve and the internal impedance of the battery are important -- especially as the battery approaches the lower end of its operating voltage as it approaches shutdown. It is virtually impossible to obtain these specifications, even from Fujifilm. However, Fujifilm testing of the camera is performed with their own battery. Camera performance could be problematic with other batteries due to higher internal impedances that result in great voltage drop during high current peaks as the battery discharges. Cheaper batteries are not necessarily money spent wisely.
