Does Arlington Camera Buy 35Mm Film Cameras

I have taken photographs for over 50 years with 35mm film cameras, Canon digital cameras, a medium format RB 67 and a 5x7 Deardorff. The combination of this lens on the Leica M10 Monochrome produces images that rival a 5x7 camera, and you can carry it in one hand. Once you see the sharpness and contrast from this lens you are spoiled and other camera / lens systems seem just a bit off. Warning: whenever you're using your other camera systems you'll be wondering how much better the image could be with this lens. 5 |

Very well made. I have two of these. I just leave them on the cameras and then screw the lens in just like you would on a 35mm film camera that takes any M-42 threaded lens. I shoot all my digital and film stills with my older Takumars from the late 1960s to early 1970s. 5 |

When I was young I asked a friend what camera to buy.He told me,I remember, don't ask about cameras, ask about films. So,I then stayed with my folding KODAK Junior I and tried different kind of films, mostly, the famous KODAK Tri-X of 60's and the early 70's. The years passed,I grew older and older and 620 films bit by bit started to fade out till they completely vanished from market. The era of 35mm and 120 had come. Few months ago,for my good luck,a friend adviced me from where I could find what I was looking for years: A 620 film for my KODAK Junior. And thus, the past was revitalized with Tri-X Pan from BH. That film was specifically made for shadowed (dull, hazy or heavy overcast)images. On the contrary,I used it in full daylight on my folding KODAK which has a fixed aperture (f/16 or 22) and a fixed shutter speed (1/60). I was really amazed from the results. No burned out areas,no dark shadows, but an equal tonal range. And of course,no under or over development (...).A never treat that way my negatives.Of course,I always take care the way that my subject is lighted and try to have equal quantities of light and shadow,in the frame. Literaly, for those medium format film lovers, who do not have expensive equipments,I would say in a different way the wise words of my friend: If you cannot afford buying expensive cameras, buy affordable films like the Tri-X Pan.You will see that simple things are sometimes much better from complicated and multifunctional camera gears. As someone who's new to film cameras I wanted to buy something that's not disposables but didn't want to spend crazy amounts of money. This camera is perfect. I get to have pretty pictures while reusing the camera. 5 |

Does what it says, I use it on my Fujifilm XT2 with Fujifilm 35mm F2. Had to buy a step up ring but works perfect. I bought this with rewards points that I got from BH for buying the XT2 from them. Great camera, great lens, great company. It gave an old man another reason to get out and take photos. 5 |

This is used on my carbon fiber tripod for DSLRs and 35mm film cameras. I may use it for my RB-67 also. I have enjoyed the stick grip on my monopod and this is a great performer so far. It is a bit heavy on the carbon fiber tripod and makes the assembly a bit top heavy, but has caused no issues yet. 5 |

As others have noted, this is Ektachrome 5294 movie film, spooled in to cassettes, for 35mm still cameras. It has great color, and saturation, as well pleasing skin tones. Like its sold by Kodak Alaris counterpart, it is a great all around film. I use it for all occasions, both in the studio, and outdoors. Since it is a movie film, it doesn't have frame numbers along the edges; not a big deal, just something to note. 5 |

Ektar 100 is among the best 35mm films available today. It is a very fine grained film which produces super sharp images. I love the deep color saturation and contrast as well. I disagree with the review that states that Ektar doesn't do well at night as I use it pretty routinely for night photos with great results. I don't consider Reala to be in the same class as Ektar. I also find it very forgiving as I have exposed it at ASA 400 and still got acceptable results. The colors went super-saturated though. This film is great for strobist work and product shots due to it's sharpness. I think it is great for portraits as well even though you probably would benefit from softening the sharpness down some. I've compared results to a D7000, D300 and other digital cameras and they still aren't on par with Ektar. I also appreciate how flat it lays on my Epson V700 scanner; very well behaved! I use this film a lot on several different film cameras and lens combinations. I have several examples on my flickr page: username greauxe then search for ektar from my photostream 5 |
