Need a solution for you BMPCC4K or 6k? This is my new go to microphone for video work and voice over recordings. You need to use both the 3.5 input and the USB-C cable for it to work on the camera. Otherwise just the USB-C cable for your computer. 5 |

I bought this to use for podcasting on my iPhone. Its a great microphone for someone like me who doesnt want to mess around very much in DAW after recording, since you can change the compression, gain, and 5 channel EQ in the microphone itself However, and this isnt Shures fault (hence no rating deduction), this microphone does not work in VOIP on iOS mobile devices. Skype, Discord, Anchor, FaceTime, even phone calls, it does not work. Just a heads up in case you were buying this for that reason. 5 |

If you have an Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Type-A Camera Adapter you can connect this device into the USB Type-A slot, then connect a 3.5mm audio cable from a microphone (such as the Sennheiser EW G4 wireless lavalier system) to pipe the external microphone's audio directly into your iPhone. Excellent for the convenience of having good quality audio for your iPhone interviews or vlogging. I was skeptical that this setup would work, but it certainly does work. I'd recommend this device if you're trying to do something like what I described. Should work well with laptops too, but I haven't tried that. 5 |
