Equipment: an external LG Blu-Ray/M-Disc burner (WH16NS40) on a Mac. After more than a hundred discs, I have yet to see a single bad one. I burn at the slowest possible speed supported by the hardware, since I prefer long-term reliability (a habit since my first CD burner 25 years ago—some of my first CD-ROMs are still readable today), and I set my software to verify the burn by default. Having had to return an LG external BR because it wouldn't work w/my Mac mini, I thought that I'd give this Asus a try. Woohoo! It works! Yes, this model doesn't do BR, but it works! Thanks Asus for keeping the Mac user in mind, and enabling this to work with Apple Silicon. Woohoo! 5 |
