Does Ring Security Cameras Record Sound

Installed this in an older Core i7 tower to record security cameras with TrueNAS. After running exclusively SSDs for so long, this is a noisy drive, but it's working very well. Several high-bitrate cameras are recording to it simultaneously without write issues. It struggles to read the recorded data while it continues to record the camera feeds, but that's expected given the number of cameras I'm sending to a single drive right now.

Had the Ring Pro doorbell and recently switched to the Lorex to incorporate with my security cameras, and I am amazed at how much clearer the picture and sound quality is. I’m very pleased with the results of the upgrade.

The picture is crystal clear and I love that you can pan 180 degrees and zoom in/out. The device itself looks very modern and sophisticated. Super easy to setup and the app is very straightforward. Love being able to check in on my pup when I’m not home and the 2 way audio is such a nice bonus!

I recently purchased my 2nd and 3rd Ubnt G3 Flex cams to compliment my first one that I had on the front of my home. I've had some issues with neighbor kids destroying my landscaping on my side yard so I decided to add two more areas of coverage. These cameras do a spectactular job and 1080P is fine for my needs. Unlike Ring or Nest Cameras, you're not at the mercy of the cloud providers and can do always on recording as needed, or set to record on motion with super adjustable settings. I never miss a beat with these cameras like my old Ring was doing. For all 3 cameras to record full time I get about 6 weeks worth of footage on a 6TB recording drive, its plenty efficient.

This is made for security cameras... but I got it to hang surround sound speakers from the ceiling. It fits perfect for a surround sound pre-wire and the cable goes through the tube for a clean look. My speakers weigh about 6lbs. I dont know if I would go too much over that though.

Use it on a GY-HM100u in a shock mount to record natural sound. Does good job. Great mic for the price.
