Does exactly what it's supposed to at a reasonable price. I'm using a Plus II and the only caveat is the camera does not wake from sleep after a long time; battery will run down. Get a higher level Pocketwizard to have the two-press option to wake , then fire, then go back to sleep. On the list for the future! 5 |

The AC30 is great for practicing when others want to sleep. It's very compact and fits in the accessories compartment in my guitar case. Tone is good (not great), and certainly acceptable for practicing. Given its small size, I don't think anyone can expect killer tone. I find the effects (Chorus, Delay, Reverb) a bit cheesy and don't use them. The volume is sufficient with headphones. I've used it with Sennheiser Momentums (18 ohm) and AKG K240 MkII (55 ohm). I've also tried it with a JBL Charge. I had to crank the Charge to full volume for the sound to fill a small room. But hey ... that makes for a very portable amp solution. 5 |
