We tried 2 different phones (iPhone 6s and 7) and 2 different TVs and it works as expected. Some reviews says you need the phone powered, but at least with phones well charged it does work without. On one TV it only worked on one HDMI port. On the other it was not recognized. I didn't really check if the port where it didn't work had anything "special". Overall, it's expensive, but it gets the job done! 5 |

Does a nice job of holding securely my iPhone 6s, while allowing me to easily and completely view the scene during use on a tripod. Mounting it to a mini ball-head allows additional control of a scene’s perspective. 5 |
