Does The Jbl Xtreme Charge With Micro Usb

i love jbl speakers and this speaker makes me love them even more, powerful bass and decent loudness, i own 2 other speakers (Charge 4, Xtreme 2) but oh man those 2 are no match COMBINED

I have been a JBL fanboy for years but this Marshall Middleton has changed everything. The Middleton has now replaced my JBL Xtreme 3 & Charge 5. Marshall will be my go to for me speaker needs for now on. The sound is clean and clear even at max volume, the bass hits hard and the mids and highs are right where they need to be.

The bass is loud and distinct when listening to your favorite songs. When listening to podcasts the audio is clear and concise. This new speaker is the "The Rock" of JBL's lineup. Purely amazing. Full, clear sound and thick, rumbling bass, while the two tweeters put out clean highs. The microphone actually came in handy at a cookoff we just held and everyone was asking about my amazing new speaker! For those of you who know and love JBL, this won't disappoint. The party light is a cool touch, as well. Excellent construction, as expected from JBL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Xtreme 4 packs a punch. It's small, but it roars with powerful sound. Seriously, this thing fills a room with bass that you can feel. Plus, it's tough as nails. Water, dust - it doesn't care. Take it camping, to the beach, wherever. And it's got Bluetooth, so no cords to trip over. Bonus: it charges your phone. Bottom line? If you want big sound in a small package, this is it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing first let’s appreciate the detail and build quality of this beautiful powerful speaker. Unboxing this beast is always top notch with the beautiful packaging known from JBL. It comes with a usb type C AC charging cord. Instruction manual and a pretty nice looking adjustable carrying strap. After giving this speaker a full charge which didn’t take long. Before unplugging it. I tested it plugged in to AC power for an added boost in sound. From playing hip hop to rock and more fast paced EDM the Xtreme played it nice and clear and didn’t distort when I turned it up. Bass was solid and the passive bass radiators were moving some air. This thing gets loud even when I went portable and took it out to the park. The wide carrying strap made it easy to walk around or when I saw a nice tree branch I looped it on there with no problem and did a quick workout. Also it’s IP67 so it can handle the Xtreme elements outside especially here in Texas. Another cool and I think is a first for the Xtreme is they added a removable battery to extend the life even more since all batteries lose charge over time. Just knowing I can buy a new battery and bring it back to life again is a major selling point for me. Also with the JBL portable app which I used for different types of music I play. It has 4 to choose from and a custom EQ to customize to your liking. Also has a feature to boost the battery called Playtime boost. It pretty much turns off most of the bass to extend playtime. Would be cool if the speaker had a button on it to activate it or even a button on top for the EQ. But overall I really loved the Xtreme 4 and I’m sure you will too!

I'm not a DJ or a performer, bought this because my JBL Xtreme just wasn't loud enough. Was considering the Boombox, but this is so much louder, has so much more bass, and is way cheaper. Only thing is this has to be plugged in to work since it has no battery. Sound is unreal though, super clear, with a ton of bass

Brighter than the F12 and very useful. Downside is the charge port is old style micro-USB and not USB-C

To make best use of the microphones features and customization, JBL recommends downloading their JBL Headphone app via the Apple app store or Google play store. The app lets you download the latest firmware and offers more control over the mic’s settings. You can adjust gain, noise cancellation, EQ settings, auto off timer, LED light adjustment as well. A simple press of a button on the mic mutes it and turns the indicator light solid red letting you know it’s muted. I tested the mic and it was able to block out background noise very well especially when compared to my phones internal mic. It offers a combined 24 hour charge, 6 hours for the mic and 18 hours for the charging case. Another great feature is the ability to charge your phone while in use as the receiver has both a male USB-C for plugging into you phone as well as a female USB-C for plugging in your charger as it allows pass through charging. The quick charge capability will allow a 15 minute charge to provide one hour of use. The charging case requires 2 hours to fully charge from dead. If you plan on using it outdoors throw on the provided windscreen which allows for crystal clear audio while reducing wind noise.
