Does Undercharged Sony Wireless Headset Make Noise

This headset was purchased to replace an entry level Logitech set from about 10-12 years ago. I wanted a comfortable headset for video conferencing that supported usb-c, since both my Pixelbook Go and MacBook Air only have usb-c ports. The fact that this headset can also easily convert into a standard stereo jack was also very appealing. I'm not ready for a wireless headset since I dislike charging too many devices and the mics on Bluetooth wireless headsets usually rate poorly (nearly always, the complaint is that they are underpowered and too quiet). I've used this headset now for numerous many hour long calls. It is lightweight and comfortable, my ears do not get hot, and it does an amazingly good job at blocking out background noise without any active noise canceling technology. The ear pad material was softer than I was expecting and it appears to sink around my ears for a close fit. Sound quality has been very good, and when I asked the people on the other side of my calls how I sounded, they all confirmed that I was clear and easily understood. The cord is very long, and the usb-c connector makes a tight fit. Setup was the same as any other usb headset. 5 |

For years I had been using the older Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headset which operated in the 926-928 MHz frequency range. The performance was adequate, but the unit suffered from multipath cancellation (signal reduction due to the out of phase combination of multiple reflections). You will notice this when you move your head slightly, and there would be a sudden, and audible, change in signal amplitude or a short burst of background noise. As I had need for an addition system, I decided on the RS 175 as it seemed to have good reviews. I have not been disappointed. The RS 175 operates in the 2.4 GHz band with digital modulation. While 2.4 GHz systems are also subject to multipath propagation deterioration, I noticed none with this system, even with the headset taken outside onto the patio with the transmitter 40+ feet away. As typical with digital modulation systems, there was a threshold effect -- if the headset got out of range, the signal would abruptly disappear, quieting the audio -- in the past, you would simply be greeted with noise. In addition, I very much like the Bass Boost and Surround Sound options which can be quickly selected at the press of a button on the headset. The one negative for the headset is that you need to really take the headset off in order to figure out which button to press. I find this a rather minor inconvenience as I am not changing audio level, bass boost or surround sound options on the fly. In summary, Sennheiser did a superb job with this unit. The audio quality is excellent (I used an analog input -- an optical interface also exists for even better quality) and the annoying multipath effects so common with many wireless headsets are non-existent. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Sony headphones. They are not your everyday headphones. The headphones has a large list of features. The headphones are wireless noise canceling stereo headset. They include 360 Reality Audio and Headphones connect from Sony. The headphones include music playback for up to 30 hours with NC (noise cancelling) on and 38 hours with NC off. You only have to charge the headset for 10 min to get up to 5 hours of play time. The headset includes hands- free calling with HD voice and voice assist function. It has google assistant and alexa built-in. The headphones are so easy to use. They are very lightweight. I had not problem downloading the Sony apps. I recommend them to anyone that wants a GREAT pair of headphones. 5 |

Does exactly what it is built to do. I use this with my FS5-M2 camera when I power my rig with AB batteries. The cord length is perfect for my requirements. I haven't tested it to see if it will isolate power from other devices and/or prevent a back flow of unintended voltage/grounding. But when connecting it to my AB D Tap splitter, which is powering my Inferno recorder there hasn't been an issue. We'll see what happens when I plug in, and share power with a wireless mic, and if any noise/grounding is created. With wireless mics and mixers/recorders you have to be careful about unintentional grounding when using a common battery to power multiple devices. Using an isolating power distribution system will keep voltage only going one way, so it doesn't seek a path of least resistance by traveling back on XLR connectors, creating noise or worse. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally got this Sony INZONE H7 Wireless Gaming Headset for my youngest son who has the PS4. Sony is Sony right? No. They did connect to the PS4 easily no problems there. My don said very comfortable and he liked the design ( he is 18 years old) but the actual performance of them being compatible isn’t there. It lagged & dropped the WiFi. So he gave them to my oldest son. He has the PS5. He is now a very happy owner of these Sony INZONE H7 Wireless Gaming Headset. They work great! They again connected easily. They charge very quickly. The sound is clear. Venmo ices & sound effects They are a nice lightweight headset. Just would be nice to be more universal for other Sony products. ( even though stated for PS5) 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sony WI-C100 Wireless Stereo Headset is made for iPhone or iPod. I love that it has several different sizes of earbud tips to fit my ears. I use mine to listen to my music and I also use it in my car for hands-free calls. I like the feature with the little cord that connects the earbuds to the unit itself where I feel like I won't ever lose it because it hangs around my neck. When charged it last up to 25 hours. 5 |

I stopped using my Sony's after the leather started crumbling and right about the same time I got a wireless headset. Upon receiving these I was amazed by the improvement in sound and comfort added to the old headset. I enjoy my favorite headset again for gaming, watching movies or listening to my music collection. Coming from using high end headsets and earbuds such as etymonics and PX5s, my Sonys with these pads sound amazing. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sony WH-1000XM4 Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones are the best!! Love the fit. And they don't hurt the top of my head or my ears. The noise canceling is the best!! So easy to pair and simple instructions on how to work your headset. The sound is outstanding. The call quality is amazing as well. Comes with a nice sturdy case. Just a 10 minute charge can give you up to 5 hours. Alexa built-in. 360 Reality Audio. Google assistant. You can get 30 hours battery time! There's so many options to adjust your audio/communication experience. In my opinion this headset is definitely recommended. 5 |
