I bought this device to get more out of my 4K Blu-ray disks on my Sony TV and Dolby Atmos receiver. The Dolby Atmos and picture has improved from my PS5 as a play back device. The only issues I have is that sometime the Sony Bravia TV decides to switch the sound to the EARC channel from the dedicated HDMI sound connection channel. When it does I need to change the Denon Reciver back to the correct sound input. It would also be nice to install Disney+, Vudu, and movies Anywhere to the players options. The images and sound from Netflix and my Blu-rays are great. I setup 13 speakers in a 7.2.4 on my receiver. I had to do a pre-amp out for two of the channels. 5 |

This is Sony's first professional headphone in years and they've done it again the sound quality is exceptional the 360° Sony spatial sound is incredible and if you play Dolby Atmos music it gives you virtual Dolby Atmos sound again outstanding headphones for that price 5 |

I bought this to replace my old Sony STR-DE1075 which still worked great but had no HDMI input capability. I wanted Dolby Atmos and the STR-DH790 provides this. I am using it with a Roku Ultra and there are many Dolby Atmos videos on Youtube but none will really blow you away like I was hoping. I have yet to use it for a Dolby surround sound movie but look forward to hearing the full effects once I do. I know that the STR-DH790 is providing the full surround sound so I just need to find a good video to really try it out. 5 |

I bought two of these to use in stereo...I've explored the Dolby Atmos a bit though and am not getting the height or depth sensation as strongly as the Arc that I have. Still, they're acccurate, balanced, and reveal nice details in the music..eventually they'll be surrounds where I'm sure they'll serve well. I'll have to compare to my 5 someday.. 5 |
