Doorbell Camera Amazon Ca

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to upgrade my doorbell with a camera. This really easy to use and install. I am already an amazon Alexa user and it was pretty easy to integrate into the ecosystem. I feel more secure when leaving my home in the morning now.

This is a great doorbell that compliments an Amazon prime subscription. It helps deter package theft simply with its presence. It also works to annouce whose at the door if you have a familiar visitor and google home. I can't wait for Google Aware for the whole home security package!

Works as advertised. I use mine to monitor my new ring doorbell camera.

This particular doorbell camera has a great lens and very easy to install.

DC Coupler DR-E17 ... attaches to the DC cord of the AC Adapter CA-PS700 ... fitting inside the camera's battery compartment to provide a constant power supply. To counter the negative reviews, this DC coupler fits in the battery compartment, but only provides power to the camera if the CA-PS700 is connected. At first, I wondered how I would be able to power on the camera with the battery door open, much less attach a tripod bracket. However, I quickly discovered that the slide that is used to open the battery door folds up and allows the CA-PS700 to connect to the coupler through the door. This leaves plenty of clearance for Manfrotto and smaller Arca-Swiss plates, and makes it easy to connect/disconnect the power brick and mains cord if needed.

We are happy with the doorbell and recommend it to anyone who is looking to get one!

B&H discounted this camera several hundred dollars. As I recall, the sale only lasted a few days. I never miss a day without checking into this incredible camera store. Even though I live in CA, I stopped purchasing from anyone except B&H. Their shipping excellence and speed of delivery to CA is beyond to belief. B&H outshines them all.

I got this lens with an EOS M kit, but am reviewing it separately from the camera. In short, this lens is superb! The lens is compact and solidly built. It's nicely sharp in the center even wide open. Vignetting is quite heavy at f/2, but I rather like it that way. Stopping down reduces vignetting quickly and the center is very sharp by f/2.8 with sharp borders, while the far corners are sharp by f/4. Bokeh is very nice (in the limited quantities the focal length and aperture afford). AF speed isn't great, but I think that's as much or more a matter of the EOS M camera than the lens. Most of my shooting has been indoors, but I've had no issues with flare, using it without a hood or filter. I shoot in raw and have Lightroom automatically correct CA, and haven't noticed any significant residual CA. Distortion is well controlled. It focuses quite close, which is very handy. Overall, this lens is very well behaved: there's nothing much to watch out for and it produces lovely images. Now it just needs a camera body as good as it is to mount it on!

I had a Canon M50 which uses the LP-E12 batteries, and I had the DR-E12 DC coupler and the CA-PS700 AC Adapter. Then I upgraded my camera to the M6 mkII, which uses the LP-E17 batteries, and, so, in turn, I ordered this DR-E17 DC coupler which mates to the CA-PS700 AC Adapter which I already had, and it allows me to use the camera for extended periods of time for certain activities such as livestreaming or recording video. I might recommend this for product photographers as well, anything where you're not too far away from an AC power outlet. Sometimes it's a pain when the battery dies and you have to remove the camera from the tripod to access the battery door on these compact cameras, so this eliminates that scenario. You can find cheaper AC adapters that are compatible with Canon cameras, but this is one of those things I just didn't want to compromise
