Doorbell Camera Connected To Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this doorbell camera this weekend. It was so easy to set up. You install the doorbell/camera mount on the door frame and plug in the Box it comes with. Then installed the app on your phone. Camera is super clear. Sends alerts to your phone when it detects movement. I feel so much better knowing if someone is coming near my front door, even if it is my husband or I walking by it. Hoping this will hope with missing packages. But I feel confident it will.

I like the feature that it is also connected to my cell phone.

I've only had it a week but so far so good. Menus are easy to get through and read when you are connected via your phone or iPad in my case. This camera has a sweet sensor and the software inside to make this a real pleasure to play with. I just ordered the Back Bone Gear lens kit, so I'll be able to put my Canon SLR lenses on it. I think I'll also get an external 4K recorder (Blackmagic) because the camera gets mighty hot after a short while. My favorite thing is the color temperature setting in 100 increments (5600K,5700K,5800K and so on), so matching the camera to lighting is super easy. It is unfair to compare this to go pros or any other sport camera. This is more like a pro camera, making it much easier to get the look of the shot you want. Enjoy, I am!

This is my first 360 camera and I absolutely love it. The quality is top notch and the ease of use with it connected to the phone is really nice.

Bought this for my wife as a christmas present to go along with EOS 7D mark II. In order to get it to work you have to download and install the latest firmware for the camera. The firmware install was super easy as the instructions provided by canon was really easy to follow. Once the camera's firmware was installed (10 min total) the wifi adapter worked like a charm. I connected the camera directly to her iPhone for starters and that worked. The only thing I don't like about that particular method is that once connected it seems to be remote control from the phone only. I have not messed with it a lot so I could be missing something. What would be GREAT is if you could connect the phone to the camera and have photos transfer to the phone in real time. Next I connected the camera to my home network. This process was very simple, you just use the cameras menu to find, connect and input the PW for your network and it's on. I used my wife's new macbook pro to download the app from cannon. When you start the APP it automatically found the camera and connection was instant. This is my favorite method, because I can still take pictures with the camera while it's connected and it transfers the photos in real time. You can also control the camera with the MAC if you want remote control function, but in our business we just don't need that function. I can see a portrat photographer really using that feature though. Over all, I am super happy with the purchase, 1 week in.

This particular doorbell camera has a great lens and very easy to install.

I am self employed and I spend about 5 hours a day on the phone. I have 2 dogs that get super excited when the doorbell says there's a person or a package and they bark super loud at every squirrel they see out the window, which is often. My clients cannot tell that I have dogs with me and they don't know I'm not in an office. Even when both dogs are barking right next to me wanting to go out and chase squirrels. These are absolutely amazing!
