I had bought this product after my previous hard drive had bitten the dust. This is a great hard dive that’s very reliable, fast, and easy to set up and use. The build quality of this hard drive really puts an emphasis on “hard” made nearly entirely out of aluminum. Lacie didn’t take any short cuts when designing this product. The one suggestion I would make is to dim the indicator light, as my office is part of my bedroom and when I forget to eject the hard drive the light is relentless in lighting up my room. 5 |

It is interesting to consider everywhere you can attach this and snake the camera into position. For desktop application it allows me to place a camera behind my monitor without impacting desk space as it is clamped to the monitor's base. It is long and can be difficult to get where you want so I recommend adjusting a segment to approx where you will want it and tighten and then do the same to the other side, then slightly loosen until it can be moved into its final position but not be a complete wet noodle. I am so glad I got this over a tripod for my desk cam. 5 |
