Doorbell camera works great! Cameras have been installed but we are having some difficulty get them to work

Used to say NEAR on the outside, now it says BOGEN. But it's still a good speaker.

The Olympus ME-52 noise-cancelling microphone has several unique features that make it attractive to our particular needs. I am the operations manager of the journalism dept. at a small Christian university, and we have recently upgraded to the BlackMagic Design Pocket Cinema cameras for recording interviews for our weekly student-run newscasts. The BMD cameras have an external mic jack, and I needed an external lapel mic that records with good audio level and quality, reject wind and other noises, and preferably does not require a battery that may die or (worse) leak. The ME-52 detaches from its short 3.5mm cable connector, and I combine it with a Rode 10 ft extension cable. This allows me to put the lapel mic, wind screen, and swiveling lapel clip in a small case, which in turn goes in the BMD case. I keep the Rode extension cable in a separate compartment in the BMD case. The swiveling mic clip is an added bonus: it quickly adapts for male or female shirt lapels, and can be switched easily without detaching for either side of a jacket. Detaching the mic from the cable also aids in routing the cable through clothing. For our purposes, this mic and accessories as such is almost perfect, and the results are excellent (especially for the price).

This camera works better than the Nest and Ring doorbell cameras that I had previously. Same features but responds better and no fees.

I have 3 Nest IQ Outdoor cameras and have just installed the Nest Hello Doorbell. The products are all excellent in quality. My only issue is the lag time from actual movement to the time I get notification. There seems to be a considerable time from real time to notification. I have the highest speed internet available so not sure where the problem lies. Any ideas on how to improve this?

Had the Ring Pro doorbell and recently switched to the Lorex to incorporate with my security cameras, and I am amazed at how much clearer the picture and sound quality is. I’m very pleased with the results of the upgrade.

Firstly, my previous video doorbell, integrated into my security alarm system, consistently disconnected from the internet when attempting to playback video or engage in voice communication. The manufacturer consistently attributed these issues to my internet connection. In contrast, the Lorex camera boasts a robust internet connection and only requires approximately 8 seconds to load, even when I am away from home. Secondly, I have eight wired cameras that perform exceptionally well. It is highly convenient to have all my cameras under the same brand and only require a single application. Additionally, the 4K video resolution is a significant advantage. If you are seeking a video doorbell, I highly recommend making a purchase, as you will not be disappointed.

I used to have SimpliSafe doorbell camera. I wasn’t happy with quality and reliability of their cameras so I switched to this and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with the decision. No more monthly fees, quality and features are 10X better so is the reliability!

Have had no problems with this unit as my router. Running 4 cameras, doorbell, and two access points with a 4tb hard drive. Easy to setup if you have a little networking knowledge.
