Doorbell Video Camera 3 Compatible With Google Home

I got the nest hello doorbell as I’m currently on a google home environment. I could not have asked for anything better! The video quality is excellent, the doorbell is packed with smart AI features and yet, it’s super intuitive to use. There are MANY features I like, but the fact that you can turn the bell chime on/off from the app is great as we have a newborn and a dog.

Firstly it's a shame that Google still hasn't officially offered and supported the Google Nest Video Doorbell in Australia. Now that I have it, I can't understand technically why. Thankfully B&H Photo offer the product to us Aussies and the ordering and pricing was fantastic. In short, I couldn't be happier with the device. The install was straight forward and the responsiveness of receiving alerts is with a second or two. Following are some other points others might find useful. - i didn't have an existing doorbell. I only had a CAT6 cable running to the doorbell. I am using a 24V AC 1AMP power supply located approx 20m away to power the doorbell over 2 pairs of the CAT6 cable. No issues whatsover. - My cable was already approx 1500 high off the ground which unfortunately is a little too high to see the ground in the video. - I don't have a chime. I am using the Google minis around the home to announce visitors and it works great. - The AI of Nest aware subscription is awesome. Love that it recognises faces and announces them. It also detects a parcel being delivered and also the parcel being collected. Worth the extra subscription fee. - 2 way audio communication is loud and clear. Video resolution is also great. So as you can probably pickup I am really happy with it. Thanks again to BH Photo for providing a trustworthy and reliable service to your international customers.

Video and audio quality is great, as is build quality. Camera control through the Nest app is straight forward and facial recognition works really well. Having the doorbell notify all my Google/Nest Home speakers was one of my main reason for not seriously looking at other doorbells. My only small gripe is I don't have an existing powered doorbell and it took a little bit of work to figure out how to best provide power as I'm in Australia and can't use the US power supply. In the end I purchased a 24VAC 1A adaptor which works fine. Great 4k Doorbell. Works with Google and my voice to watch the camera on TV.

I wish my Play 5's were compatible with my Google Home. I purchased my first Sonos speaker this year (2018). I bought the Play 5 because it had an Aux port. Loved it! Purchased my second Play 5 a couple of months later and now have a Play Bat,too. Awesome product. Made me fall in love with music again.

A much better system than Google Home.

I've had the Nest Hello for a month and a half and it's exactly what I wanted. A high quality video doorbell. I also have the Nest Aware which is great especially now that I know when my kids come home from school. Plus with Google home when someone presses the doorbell I know who is at the door.

We installed this video doorbell to feel more protected and to keep an eye on our home when we were not there. We are very impressed with this product and would highly recommend this to anyone who would be interested in getting this product.

The Nest Hello video doorbell has been an excellent addition to our smart home. It was super easy to install and set up thanks to the easy to follow instructions provided by Nest. If you're looking for a high quality great looking product that works with no headaches, this is the one for you.

Its a typically well-thought-out Nest product.   If you already have any other Nest items in your home and youre looking for a video doorbell, this unit is an utter no-brainer.  It tucks right into the Nest ecosystem and is accessible through the same app you already use on your phone. If you dont already have other Nest items in your house, its still a great product. It does everything youd expect or want a video doorbell to do. This is a wired unit and runs off of your dwellings doorbell power supply.  IMHO, thats better than relying on batteries to power a device you may find yourself checking continuously, however, there can be differences from home to home in how the doorbell is wired as well as the voltage supplied at the door.  Id suggest running Nests compatibility checker: https://nest.com/works/ Installation?  If you can follow directions, you can have this thing running within an hour.
