Dos The Router Matter With Slower Internet

It's a modem. You plug it into the wall and then into a router and you get internet.

Is the best router with wifi 6. Internet is fast and the coverage is awesome!

I enjoy using this product because the internet rarely goes out with Modem/Router.

Although my internet speeds are slower than the more standard 1Ge speeds, I utilize the faster 2.5Ge speeds for my home network for PCs to talk together and to interface with my NAS unit. The NAS is native 2.5Ge. This card gets me the same on my PC, and also allows me to have separate networks for internet and my PC to PC to NAS. Although I haven't done any actual speed testing, my backup speeds and communication between PCs is noticeably faster without effecting my internet bandwidth, for a very reasonable price. Installation & setup was easy. I did use the provided disc to load the drivers, although I could have also downloaded them for use. In any case, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I got this to make the most out of our slower internet (100down and 10 up) and I am not disappointed. Went from an ASUS AC-68U to this and after enabling Smart Queue we can watch Netflix, download a game off Steam (without manually needing to slow the download speed) and have two people play at the same time without much ping increase. Basic setup wizard makes it headache free. I am not using UNMS at the moment so no idea how well it runs but the UI is intermediate but not overly complicated.

These work well with HomeKit and best of all don’t require a bridge. My internet is on the slower side so I can’t have a bridge eating bandwidth all day, these were easy to set up and don’t seem to hurt my internet speed at all.

Easy to set up. I was happy enough that wireless speeds were double in parts of the house that were slower with my old router. Then I switched from the 2.4Ghz to the 5GHz network and suddenly got wireless speeds as fast everywhere (10x what I got before in some cases) as my hardwired connection to the main computer.

After using this router for a week, then pairing it with the MR 2200 for better coverage in my home, Synology has proven to be the most customizable, secure and it has the fastest Wi-Fi speeds of any router I have ever tested. To top off the great performance and customization, the UI is undoubtedly the best I have used on any router. Just for reference, the last router I owned was the latest WI-FI 6E Linksys MX8500 which had better mesh speeds, but slower Ethernet and overall slower Wi-Fi performance, with FAR less customization. This router fixed every network issue I had, and gave me more options for fine tuning. Can't be happier with my purchase!
