This mic boom is designed to be used to mic an acoustic guitar (or such) while the main, top mic is used for vocals. I use it to hold a pre-amp for my upright bass. The pre-amp has a mic thread on the bottom and this allows me easy access to adjust my volume and tone. It can be clipped either to a mic stand or to a music stand. Very impressive little product. I was looking for a bag to carry a heavy duty double guitar stand, (made by Hercules). I wanted something reasonably priced but was durable enough to handle the weight of the stand. I was pleased with the construction. The padding is subtle but adequate for my needs. The dimensions are perfect for the Hercules stand and an additional folded up compact guitar stand. I would like to add that the description and specs of the item on the B&H website were spot on. I feel this bag would be great for carrying the light stands/tripods for which it was designed. 5 |
