Dp Software Dell Dock

Brilliant display. Connected to a dock via DP. Very happy with this purchase.

Great little dock that works with my Lenovos and my Dell XPS in a home setting.

I have replaced all the DP to VGA adapters for my office computer (Dell OptiPlex 780's). This adapter secures well to the computer and being it has a pigtail it does not extend much past the onboard VGA monitor cable. I have 35 workstations with dual monitors and non of these adapters have failed going on three years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a dock that would be USB-C or USB-A and had two DP monitor connections. This one fits the bill and also accommodates my other peripherals easily.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This dock has the flexibility of 2 displays with either DP or HDMI, that along with the other functionality and size has made this an easy purchase. Items were shipped sooner then originally dated and everything works perfectly.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The dock adds more USB ports and 2 dp for high res monitors. It is useful for setting up multiple camera and monitors for OBS streaming. The only drawback is its weight and cost.

The fact that this is the second WD19TB I buy shows that I really like this dock. (As I am working in 2 places, I wanted to have it in both!). Pros and cons: + One (tiny) USB-C plug, everything taken care of: USB devices, network, multiple monitors and even charging the device. + Very nice integration into Dell notebooks: No need to open the device. Simply push the button - or even use the plug event to power on the notebook. Can't be more convenient than that? + No Fan (like the old WD16TB dock had) + Works with all TB-able notebooks I used so far (MacBook, Asus, Dell, ..) - To get the full power output from the dock, you have to use a Dell notebook (E.g. gamer notebooks from other manufacturers might not be able to charge and be used in full power mode, even though the power brick should have plenty of power to do it - note that this is due to the USB-C spec, there was recently an addendum which might change that going forwards). - It is on the pricy side - If driving a high res monitor (2560x1440 and above) using an HDMI cable, you might get only 50Hz out of it and using many notebooks you will get a flickering (display on/off) over time. You should really use a DP cable. - It has only one USB plug at the front - which is a bit on the low side considering that you might plug in mouse and keyboard. Yes, there are more plugs on the back side, but it is finnicky to get to them once set up. - Be aware that the notebook has to be fairly close to the dock as the cable is not easy to be bend, and the outlet location is fixed (on both sides).

I have tried many docks over the months from Dell, Lenovo, Kensington, Belkin and even CalDigit. Hyper Dock offers the biggest number of legacy USB-A ports as well as it's the only sick that can drive my 4K display at its peak refresh rate of 165hz! All other docks topped out at measly 60hz. Staff at B&H is always helpful and selection of products as well as constant deals make this reseller out of this world! Highly recommended!

B&H provided prompt delivery of my new Dell dock. The dock works great - less fan noise than my previous dock - and adequate power for my laptop, monitor and a few other devices.

It's been a slog, finding a TB dock that works w/all three OSes. Dell (WD19 & WD22) came closest but their port offerings are limited. Belkin's TB 3 Pro was OK but started failing after about a year. Plugable TB3 just wouldn't work on Linux. With the TS4, I've tested all of the connections apart from the GbE (wireless office). The TS4 works as expected w/Windows 10, MacOS Ventura (13) and Ubuntu Jellyfish (22.04). Pricey? Yea, but it being a TB4, manufactured by CalDigit, I expect it should last. Thanks CalDigit.
