Excellent, smooth organic effect. A classic.

Not too much blooming, and just enough fuzziness to make a digital image more organic.

I love the wood. It’s textural and organic. Love it.

Drawing on it feels much more natural than drawing on glass surface.

...but only if you're into the look. Me personally I'm into them. They work for me, my workflow, and style. Purchased a 1/4 and 1/8. I feel to my eye: - 1/4 is great to use for general use (well lit conditions and spaces that don't completely blow out light sources and practicals, but still gives me the diffused, organic, soft image that I'm seeking). 1/4 in dark environments feels a little forced stylistically and too dreamy in certain situations. - 1/8 is great in darker conditions (night shoots, dark bedrooms or office with some practicals in the frame, etc.). To my eye it does in dark conditions, what 1/4 does in brighter conditions. 1/8 in daylight conditions doesn't give me enough of the diffused/organic/soft look that I'm seeking. Of course, this is just a personal preference and what I my eye is interpreting. I'm sure I'll break my own rules many times, depending on the situation and shooting conditions :) But I'm impressed and they're great combined with the GH5 + Sigma 18-35mm (metabones) combo. I'm probably going to purchase two more of each just as back-ups, soon. They're going to get used a lot. I can already tell. Here's to making good investments *Cheers*

These discs are great, large capacity, no organic layer that will get bitrot, peace of mind because I don't trust hhds. some of my stuff wont fit on the 50 gb m-discs but will fit on these, and b and h has the best prices for these. these discs were going for 17-18 dollars minimum everywhere else, but b and h had them on backorder for 10.40, i backordered a bunch and b and h got stock a week or 2 later and shipped right away. these discs burned well on my lg wh14ns40 at 4x speed using the free program cdburner xp. DO NOT burn these discs or any discs in file explorer windows will screw them up most of the time and not finalize so the disc is indefinitely open without udf. learned that the hard way. these are probably better than regular blu rays that use an inorganic metal layer, but for all I know both of them will outlast me, these are higher grade discs tho, almost certain these are the highest grade blu rays money can buy. but these are defiantly much much much better than the organic layer lth discs, those are as bad or worse at archival than hhds.
