Drone With Camera And Visual Position Monitor

These were just what I needed for my visual effects workstation. I recently bought a desk that can be raised to a standing position and needed to move my monitor speakers to make room for a second screen. I considered wall mounting them but decided that there 45 inch stands would be a better solution. Very happy with my decision. 5 |

Does what it's supposed to do and holds the monitor in position. 5 |

Nice visual review of the camera and very useful tips throughout. 5 |

The Cine Arm is really well made and locks my on-camera monitor securely to the desired position. The Cine Lock kit saves a lot of time from having to hassle with assembly. It's definitely worth the price. 5 |

I'm using this arm for an external monitor for a video camera. Was not disappointed from the second I opened it. It provides strong support for any position it is locked. So no matter where the camera is set-up, there is a position that can be locked for proper viewing of the external monitor. I highly recommend this friction arm. 5 |

Beefy support and fine tunable, allows balance of video camera and monitor with fluid drag to keep position without pan nor tilt lock, nice to keep up with subject that suddenly starts to move. I don't know about the more expensive heads with continuously adjustable balance if they do any better but the one suggestion for Manfrotto is to set the counterbalance zero point with the pan arm attached rather than starting quite biased toward the back or allow for some measure of fine tuning by the purchaser. As it is I set my monitor into a quite front heavy position to allow for video battery far enough back to allow rapid swap without camera dismount. I can see several ways in which Zero Tilt Point might be set rather than adjusting position of mounted gear. Still very pleased. 5 |

I have struggled with support of my ikan VH8. I tried several 11 Articulating Israeli arms. Some with 20lb load ratings. When fully extended they simply don't work. You might get them to stablize, but when you try to slide or pan, there is always the risk of them losing their grip. I had an old one if these laying around and decided to rig it to my mini clamp with a few thread adapters and a camera bracket. It works great and gives much more flexibility on monitor positioning than an 11 arm. And it is easier to position and tighten. I like attaching the monitor to the tripod rather than the camera. It takes the weight off the head and keeps the viewing angle consistent for the camera operator during pans and slides. A mini clamp attached to the top leg bracket of a Manfrotto MVT502 tripod serves as the base. Using a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter on the mini bracket creates a secure mounting base. Then a camera bracket on the other end is a platform for attaching the monitor. Now the camera operator can position the monitor to his liking and get it clear of a pan. You need a handful of these in your gear bags. They are incredibly versatile. 5 |

I use this to mount my LED light or 7 monitor to my camera's cage. It is very easy to use and articulate into the position that I want and super easy to tighten. Once tightened, this thing doesn't budge. 5 |
