Ok I used another filter and it locks onto the lens of the drones camera like it should. My first one must have just been defective.

If you are looking to start live streaming and have the desire to ingest multiple camera feeds at the same time (using a switching program to choose you shots) then this card is a fantastic solution for a great price. I run a twice-a-week live stream for a gaming company and I am running 2 of these capture cards in my live streaming rig. I highly recommend Blackmagic Design equipment!

The Datavido HDR-80 is a compact video recorder for up to four SDI 1080p60 camera feeds at once. It records to a pair of SSD carts, in a tag-team (serial) fashion. You can hot-swap a filled drive for continuous operation. Setup is straight forward, with a touch screen. Recordings are in Apple ProRes422, including standard, HQ, LT, and Proxie compression. It can also record one channel of 4K60, via HDMI or SDI. As a real plus, the HDR-80 writes file headers continually, so that you lose only a few seconds of video if the power fails.

If you absolutely have to run your camera off of LP batteries, this is a must have. The battery feeds and ejects at the bottom of the grip so generally speaking, no issues changing out batteries to power my BM cameras.
