Dropbox As A Password Manager

Easy to use. Lots of storage space and uploads to google, dropbox, etc.. Works very good for me and even takes CF express cards.

Works great and the only thing I had to set up was the option to have a password to protect it if someone else tries to use it.

Easy setup. Easy to change WiFi name and password. Easy to use the app.

If you lose the spotlight password, the instructions do not tell you how to reset the password

The best thing about the Synology NAS is the software. It has the most features and ease of setup of anything out there. I switched from using Dropbox to Synology Drive. Now I have my own private cloud and personal VPN to my home network. Despite other reviews, mine is compatible with Seagate Enterprise Exos 10TB drives. Purchased the DS1821+ in March of 2023. It's been working great since then. I also added the 10GbE card to it. Highly recommended.

Love it, just wished it would mount faster on the desktop. I have my dropbox in it and sometime when I reboot the computer DB can't find it(because it didn't mount yet) and causes some issues. So I turn on DB manually now.

I’ve had it running as Time Machine for about a week. So far, it’s flawless. It’s much quieter than the Dropbox D5 which it replaced, which wouldn’t work with my Mac M1.

This is exactly what I needed - a fast network storage device with synchronization to Dropbox. Easily the fastest 10G storage device I've used, with incredibly easy setup. Very simple to update to latest version, and has worked reliably so far with heavy usage. A great addition to the toolkit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner is an aerobatic pilot and we take a lot of in-flight footage with our camera that we affixed to the tip of his plane's wing. As you can imagine, 4K footage running as long as up to an hour, takes up a lot of room on the camera's sd card and since every ounce onboard counts for aerobatic flying and long-distance flights, having a compact hard drive to dump footage onto has also enabled us to take double the footage. I've also cancelled my dropbox membership -- accessing the photos and content on the drive are just as fast, if not faster, than accessing my dropbox files. The exterior is a velvety matte material that provides ample grip, and the fact that I could drop it, throw it, impact it without harming the contents is just the cherry on top for a scatterbrained frequent traveler like me.

I need to amend my prior one-star review (Headline: Constant PWL Noise, Work-Stoppage Head-Parking). I was mistaken when I identified this hard drive as the source of my problems! Around the same time I installed the drive, I had also started working with a client who relies heavily on DropBox syncing: I've since figured out that DropBox's constant syncing of team assets is what's been annihilating my system reliability, and I've been managing the issue by Pausing Sync with excellent results. I'm back to loving these drives like I always used to! I'm posting this review to mitigate the old one, and seeing if I can get it taken down.
