I use these for practicing drums and guitar by mixing in recorded music. The flat eq is great for molding the sound as you wish. Also there is clear definition of all instruments in the recording. These have got to be the best thing going for under $ and even match the sound of $ plus phones, just don't have the features such as Bluetooth and noise cancelling. 5 |

Solid Stand. Great for drums, guitar cabs, or anything else low to the ground. Sturdy and doesn't break unless you try to destroy it. 5 |

Great mic with great sound for the price. I have 6 of them now. I use them as overheads for drums, guitar amps, and also as choir mics. I only had to perform a couple of EQ curves. Understand it's not just the mic that needs to sound good. The preamp, mixing console, amps, speaker system and room acoustics all play a role in the overall sound. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. 5 |

I have only used these speakers once but suffice it to say I am very impressed with sound level and quality of sound!! I play in a three piece wedding band, drums, bass and guitar. I had a gig at an outside venue and decided to test these speakers out there. I had been led to believe the venue was smaller and guests would number about 150. When I got there the place was bigger than I expected and there were a bit more than 200 guests. To top it off, the dance floor was located a ways from the band. When I fired them up and did the sound check I knew that the speakers were going to handle the event just fine. I used a bass drum mic and an overhead for the drums. I also put the guitar and and a little bass guitar through the speakers. These speakers put out some surprising volume and quality sound. The vocals sounded very nice and clear. Granted, these speakers are and upgrade from the $800 to $900 per speaker I was using, but nevertheless these Yamaha bring the volume and quality of sound that IS the next level. I can only Imagine how they sound with the Yamaha subs which I plan on getting soon. I am very satisfied with my purchase. And bottom line, these speakers make my band sound better, and that is good for business. 5 |

I bought this so I could hit record/play/stop in my DAW easily while playing guitar/drums. Once I got the drivers installed it works flawlessly. It has the added benefit of moving up or down in the track list which is nice for some limited hands-free DAW operation. It also has tons of presets I've never used which probably add useful features but I haven't bothered with all that yet. Build quality is most excellent. Top notch. Solid metal with plastic buttons roughly identical to the Boss multi-effects pedals. Having said that, I am nervous about accidentally stepping on that jog wheel. 5 stars since I can't think of any reason to deduct points for anything. 5 |

These mics are a fantastic value for the price! I've used them for acoustic guitar, piano, drums, and numerous percussion instruments and have had great success! 5 |

I use the SM57 for recording guitar amps, speakers in isolation cabinets and snare drums. Excellent construction and performance and Shure has kept the price at $99 for as long as I can remember. An excellent tool for recording. 5 |
