Dslr Camera Backpacking Toploader

I got this for a 5 night 45 mile backpack trip in the High Sierra so I could get DSLR shots while hiking, not just at camp. It worked great and did not bounce around with the Nikon D750 and 18-35mm G lens I was using. It was a bit difficult to attach it to my full sized backpack strap but it did go on and then was secure for the whole trip. I was using hiking poles and the camera did not get in the way of the poleing motion. I even kept it attached while climbing over boulders on some off-trail passes. My only negative is that the sliding/snapping action did get less smooth after a few days. This could be due to tiny chips in the finish after sliding it in over and over. This is a must have for backpacking with a DSLR. I've been on lots of trips where my big camera sits in my pack all day and only gets used at camp or maybe at lunch and I have a point and shoot in my pocket for quick shots while on the move. I can now get DSLR shots while hiking and even faster than pulling a small camera or phone out of my pocket. The clip is a game changer for hiking and backpacking, the only problem is now I have even more shots to sort through. 5 |

I am an amateur photographer and bought this as a means to carry my DSLR on hiking/backpacking trips. I was tired of having my camera slung over my shoulder and flopping around when hiking. This mount is easy to install on the backpack strap and simple to use. Peak Design has great tutorial videos as well to help with this process. I have used it on local hikes up to 13 miles on fairly technical terrain and haven't had any issues with security or ease of use. It's definitely a game changer if you're looking for a way to carry your camera that makes getting it quick and convenient with having the piece of mind that your equipment is secure. 5 |

This Q/R adapter is used on a backpacking tripod. The mechanism is well made and provides an exceptionally strong platform for my dslr. 5 |

I am about to head on a backpacking trip to South America and have been trying to figure out how to carry my DSLR in the backpack instead of an additional, external pack. This seems like it is going to do the trick to give me hopefully just enough protection to feel OK about it being in an overhead bin with the pack. These things are not going to protect your camera if you drop it or anything. They are very flexible to use since there are 4 Velcro type things on each side. You can fold it all sorts of ways. I got one for my DSLR with a lens attached and then one for the additional lens I'm taking. I would say I probably oversize purchased for an additional lens. The smallest version would have been perfect for the 50mm prime. The 19x19 is what I'm using for the DSLR with 18-135mm and it fits just fine and could probably even handle a bit larger lens if it had to. 5 |

Used on my EPL2. Sharp and great build. Great for backpacking and traveling when the dslr is just to much. Nice lens hood and case. 5 |

The product is well designed and manufactured. I use it primarily with my Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50 AW II camera case, but its interlock system works equally well with my Lowepro Stealth Reporter D400 AW Shoulder Bag. 5 |

I purchased this case for my Nikon 14-24mm and to pair with my Lowepro Toploader 75 AW II. The case holds the lens securely, with plenty of padding on all sides. Does a nice job with the 24-120 also, with room for a lens cloth and cable release. Works well mated to the Toploader or on a separate gear belt. Like my other Lowepro items, construction is solid and durable. 5 |

I got it to hook onto my Lowepro Toploader 75 to hold either my Sigma 17-70 or my Tamron 90 Macro. 5 |

I am really positively surprised by this toploader! First, my Nikon Z6ii fit perfectly with my 24-70 F2.8 S and is lens hood mounted, even with the battery grip. The mesh pocket on the side is perfect to put a Smart phone and the front compartment is nicely roomy and compartmentalized. Padding is great compared to other more expensive brands. The strap is long and wide enough for a good transport comfort. Zippers work easily with one hand. In short an excellent reliable choice for its small price. 5 |
