I was looking for an entry level DSLR camera in order to learn photography. For the entry level price, this camera takes great pictures in automatic mode, and has many advanced features, including video. I look forward to experimenting with all the camera can do and learning the art of photography. I especially like the small size of the camera for travel, and the fact that it uses AA batteries that can be found almost anywhere.

This is my first DSLR, having shot film since 1980, and so far, I really like this camera. Since I have nearly zero experience with digital photography, the learning curve has been very steep for me, but as I gain some time and experience with it, I am finding that it just works as it should. I have collected lot of Nikon glass over the years, and this camera can use it all, even my pre-AI 300mm F4.5 telephoto lens. which mounts just fine. The price and availability of color films is what finally made me decide to try digital. Had Kodak Ektar 100 not more than doubled in price, I would still be happily shooting color film and avoiding digital altogether. I still shoot black and white film, and will continue to do so as long as it is available for sale. But for color, the Nikon D780 will be my main camera. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase, and I'm happy that there are still DSLR cameras available for sale. I'm not very excited about mirrorless cameras. I guess I'm just getting old.

I was going on a trip to Ecuador. I did not want to lug my Canon Rebel T1 DSLR. My Sony HD camcorder was getting dated. I found that the G7 combines the best elements of video and photography in one camera. Thus, think of the one-time price as a long-term solution to having to carry both a video camera and a heavy DSLR. I think the entire camera and my extra 45-150 Lumix mirrorless zoom with a tripod and a mount weigh no more than 5 lbs. It is very easy to carry. One super feature of the G7 is completely in camera automated Time Lapse. When done, it prompts to make the movie in the camera itself. No post-processing necessary. No remote snapping. An incredible value for the price.

I have never had a tripod before. I was looking for something reasonable in price, but that would hold my new dslr camera and lens. This is a very good tripod. Some say it was a little heavy, but I don't mind hauling it around. You can adjust the height very easy and the 3 way pan head works great. I can tilt to whatever I want. If your looking for a heavy duty tripod at a good price I would suggest this one.

Same great camera, even with a mirror but still one of the best digital DSLR's ever produced. Same great price from B&H and same great super, fast expedited shipping to your door with great packaging. What's not to like? Great job, well done!

This is amazingly good for the price. It's as smooth as anything in its class. For a small camera (like a DSLR) you won't go wrong with this.

This is my first DSLR, upgraded from a rather new point & shoot that had full manual control, but I still wanted more out of my photos. I'm the type of person that over-researches before I buy something even remotely significant. But my decision to buy this DSLR was rather easy. The features and quality compared to price is unbeatable. I don't mind not having Canon or Nikon written on my camera. I know I got the the most bang for my buck. I also know Pentax has a long and reputable history with optic technology. I've had it for 2 weeks now and I can't be happier. I still have a lot to learn about what this camera can do! If you're new to creative photography or want to upgrade from a point & shoot this is a perfect choice. Features that stand out in this price range: ISO up to 12,800, HDR setting, fast max shutter speed.

I bought this camera as my first Dslr. It's fairly easy to use and takes great pictures. For an entry level dslr it does the job nicely. Although some reviewers say this camera burns thru batteries quickly (which is somewhat true) this is a small price to pay for such a great camera in it's price range.

I use this product to clean the lense of my DSLR camera. I like that you can get 50 sheets for an affordable price! While they may not fit perfectly into my camera case, I found a way to make it work without ruining either item!
