Dslr Canon D300

Perfect flash memory card for my Nikon D300 DSLR camera. 5 |

This lens shows no weaknesses on my D300. Great flare-resistance and sharp across the entire frame. AF-S allows you to snap into focus quickly. Some say this lens isn't wide enough on a cropped dSLR but it wasn't too long ago that an equivalent range of 36-105mm on a full frame dSLR or 35mm film was considered ideal for street photography. For a balanced set of lenses you will likely need to combine it with a Nikon 12-24 or Nikon 14-24mm for landscapes. However, like me you might find the 24-70mm is mounted to your SLR most of the time. 5 |

I upgraded from D800 and D300 before that. D850 is a definitely a step up. I really like the camera so far. The body seems a little lighter than the D800.? I did not want to switch to mirrorless camera as I have accumulated a number of lenses over the years. Switching would require lens adaptor and the new lenses are larger and heavy so wouldn't gain much in weight reduction by switching. Functionality is similar to the previous DSLR so old dog will not have to learn so many new tricks! I was waiting for a new DSLR version, but I don't think they are going to make one at this point with resourced dedicated to the Z cameras. Focusing is quick and spot on. There seems to be an infinite number of ways to set up the camera for an individual's needs. In short, this camera is fantastic and probably last of the bred. I believe the image quality will be comparable to the best Z cameras. I would recommend to anyone thinking of upgrading but not wanting to adapt to the mirrorless version to buy it before they stop production. 5 |

I have owned many Nikon Film Cameras, DSLR from D100 to D300, and many of the new ones, and Z Series cameras. I find the D500 easily the best and even the D7500 is awesome. Nikon thinks the mirrorless cameras are the Bomb! Well, for wildlife or rapid action the D500 is the best of both worlds. Maybe someday they'll do a D500X! Until then I'd take a D500 everyday. The D7500 is nice in that it has a on board flash. When I use one of their Z Cameras for several days there are many times when the D500 would have done the job faster and better. 5 |

I have been a Nikon user since 1985 and have been using a Nikon D300 since 2008. It has served me well and has never let me down. I never found the 12mp sensor it has as a hindrance to the photos I've taken. As time went by I did miss the superior high ISO performance the newer models offered. I've been reluctant to upgrade as the mirrorless revolution is quickly replacing DSLR's. I've been on the fence as to where to go with my next camera for a couple of years now. The problem I had is I have 7 nikon lenses that are still perfectly capable but would be handicapped if I went mirrorless and used an adapter. I never felt using an adapter is what I wanted to deal with and replacing my lenses with the current mirrorless versions would cost me a small fortune. After plenty of personal debate and the current instant rebate offering I decided to stick with dslr's and purchased the Nikon D850. The 45mp resolution is more than I really need but the price of the D850 isn't much higher than the 24mp D780 at this point. All in all it's a better all around camera; better build quality and much more. So far, so good. It is very similar in operation to my old D300 that transitioning to it was seamless. It really is the best all around dslr that Nikon has made. Finally a competitor to Canon's highly regarded 5D series. The resolution is incredible and the color is gorgeous. All other functions are highly refined and the mirror/shutter mechanism is well damped and super smooth. What more do you want from a camera? B&H's service was top notch and I had the camera in my hands the next day. Mirrorless may be the future but dslr's have proven reliability and still much to offer in the years to come. 5 |
