I have owned a number of DSLR's, the most recent a D700 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Recently I made the decision to upgrade to the D780 and I'm very glad I did. Exposure options have been expanded, auto-focus is vastly improved with multiple AF modes. The features that I relied on like auto-bracketing and AE/AF lock have been retained. The LCD screen is larger and much more useful with the pivot function. I hadn't really felt I needed Live View but having tried it a couple of times I find it much easier than using a right angle eyepiece finder. Figure in the expanded ISO range and this camera will do pretty much anything you need to do, do it well, and do it relatively easily. 5 |
