Dual Port 10Gb Enhanced Intel Ethernet Server Adapter

For those who want to start on the 10Gb Ethernet this product is a great deal. It has 2 10Gbe port so I can connect my Mac mini and my NAS directly and increase my speeds from 110Mb/s to 450Mb/s Write and 950Mb/s Read. Beside that, we have 4 additional 2.5Gbe ports so I can use with other Macs with faster speeds than before! I'm loving it!! 5 |

I do 3D work for games, movies and that data gets large very fast. Have an older 2-bay NAS that I was running using RAID 0 so no redundancy. Had it pretty full and was worried about losing it all. So picked up the DS1621+ along with 6x Seagate Exos x16 16TB and 2 500GB 970 EVO+ drives, 4GB Synology RAM stick to bump the RAM up to 8GB, and finally a Synology 10Gb pci adapter. Put it all together with RAID 6 with redundancy for up to 2 drive losses. Have the 2x 970 Evo Plus drives as SSD Cache. Am only using the 10Gb port that is from the added adapter. Runs amazing! Have 55.8TB of safe storage running around 500MB/s when taking advantage of a 10Gb ethernet port on a computer, write a little slower because of RAID 6. Very happy with the purchase! 5 |

This RealTek GB NIC works great in our older DELL PowerEdge 2850 server!! We needed to replace an Intel Pro/1000 MT GB server adapter that went bad and bought another Intel GB adapter but the server would/could NOT recognize the new Intel NIC. Tried everything to remove the installed Intel NIC driver so it would take the new Intel NIC but the Intel NIC just would not be recognized - driver would not install correctly. The SOLUTION was to install the RealTek GB NIC card (non-Intel NIC). The RealTek NIC was recognized by the server upon bootup. I updated the RealTek driver that was installed by Windows Server 2003 using the CD that came with the NIC card. It worked with no problem. Am going to team two of them in the server later. Note: Make sure you update any driver installed automatically by your computer, itself, with the CD driver. 5 |

Among several NUC's at home, I replaced a 5th gen NUC with this 13th gen model. It serves as a media center for my music and photo collection, hence the 1 TB SSD and 16 GB memory. For those unfamiliar with the Intel NUC product line, they are small (4x4), very quiet, well-engineered and supported by a three-year warranty. Over the years, I have installed dozens for customers and not a single one has failed so far. The performance is impressive. The clip that keeps the power cord from inadvertently being yanked out is a fairly recent and useful addition. Intel has excellent documentation (assembly instructions, product specs) that I recommend. During installation of Windows 11, neither the wired Ethernet nor the Wi-Fi adapter were recognized which required an Ethernet-to-USB adapter. Others may add the network drivers during installation. Installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant gets the optimal BIOS, firmware and drivers in place. Now that Intel has sold the NUC line to Asus, I hope that they will continue the development and support of this great product. 5 |

My laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. This USB adapter is a great solution. 5 |

I had been searching in vain for a small, humble adapter with VGA, ethernet, and USB-A ports, but *without* pass-through charging. And then I found this little gem, quite literally exactly what I need. All the other docks and adapters from elsewhere either had too much, not enough, or not the right combination of ports—and they were all so expensive it would have made more sense just to buy a new monitor instead. Most importantly, this adapter works. (The Apple multimedia adapter did not play at all nicely with my monitor, and I had to return it.) Although, I do have two small gripes with this Belkin adapter: 1) it scratches _very_ easily, and 2) the lights from the ethernet port are _very_ bright. The case became scratched the day I received it just from being on my desk; this was disappointing, but ultimately I care more that it works (it lives under my laptop stand and will never be seen anyway). And the lights from the ethernet port are so bright, they illuminate too much of the room when working at night. For this I used some black tape to cover the lights and part of the clear bit of the ethernet plug that was magnifying the light. All in all, I will still rate this product 5 stars for being exactly what I need and for being fully functional. I can pretend the scratches aren’t there if I never have to see them, and I was able to successfully block the obnoxiously bright lights. 5 |

This single-purpose adapter may be more reliable than an Ethernet port combined into a multipurpose USB hub. Still, with all such adapters, you may sometimes need to unplug and re-insert the USB hookup. TP-Link also has a USB-C version; I've purchased many of both types. 5 |

I'm using this with my older Macbook pro that does not have USB-C or ethernet ports. I just plugged this adapter in my USB-A port and it worked right away. The computer saw it and connected to my network without any issues. This will come in super handy when I need the fastest signal possible. Or if the wireless connection is spotty. I did a speed test with this adapter connected and I was getting over 500 mbps upload and download speeds on my work network connection, which is as fast as I can expect to get. I'm happy with this adapter and it would be hard to beat at this price. This is a very affordable solution if your computer does not have its own ethernet port. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |
