This laptop was purchased while on special- and the value still holds up at regular price. Example: compare the prior generation (11th gen) 11900K processor to this 12700H in various benchmark tests. The ratings seem to be accurate- this laptop is keeping up with the previous generation's top desktop chip. In real world use, this is also true. The laptop version of the 3060 performs nicely in this machine. It is lacking in RAM versus a true desktop card. The only negatives would be the fan noise when fully engaged and the on-paper lack of screen color gamut for sRGB and Adobe. I don't think it would be a good idea to attempt color correction with any hopes of precision on the laptop screen- though it does calibrate fine with the ColorMunki and i1 Display Pro Plus.
