I use this adapter to connect an external hard drive to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Tablets only have mini usb ports. To use an external or any other device that uses a usb port, you'll need this adaptor. I also recommend getting an adapter that has a mini USB port on the adapter so you can keep your tablet charging while you use it with the USB device. 5 |

I got two of these drives to put into an OWC external hard drive case (dual elite mini) in RAID 0 for 16TB of storage. I love how fast this setup is, it's bus powered, and noiseless/fanless. So far I have not had any problems and everything has been perfectly reliable. 5 |

I use the case to hold a small USB Hard Drive. It holds the drive and cable quite nicely. And, the case protected my drive from damage when it was dropped several feet when my backpack broke. So, it already has done it's job once, and should continue being used for quite a while. 5 |
