I have used this dual microphone directly plugged in my X-T4 and the sound is great. It has a tiny preamp powered by an LR44 battery. I don't know how long it last though. Of course, it works even with the preamp turned off (i.e. with the switch in OFF/smartphone position), but you have to turn up the internal preamp of the camera in that case. I can't say for certain if it mic would work as well on a camera with a lower quality pre-amp than the X-T4, but I'm very impressive quality for the low price. 5 |

7.3V and 12V d-tap let me power my camera (7.3V), a led ligth (12V) and a wireless microphone receiver (12V). I use it on a Redrock microPod Accessory Plate (I had to found screws because the supplied ones did not fit). No more multiple batteries that dies out at different times and much longer running time with a single battery, sweet! 5 |

The C70 is a great camera, but like any camera, you need to mount a microphone and/or wireless receiver. With no viewfinder, an external monitor sure is nice, too. This has the right points to do all of that without having to put an entire cage on the camera. I have a Wooden Camera handle that has the grooves at the mount point, for more mounting options. The angled cold shoe is great for using the stock C70 mic mount, too, because it places it lower. 5 |
