I have about a 17 ft square family room with windows and ceiling ductwork. I needed something very bright so my wife would sit with me watching movies or (more importantly) my hockey games. She refuses to sit in the dark, and has to be able to read her magazines. The very short throw table top projector with 2300 lumens on a 109 1.1 gain screen works great. Sitting 15 ft from the screen means I don't need 1080p for a clear picture. I never use the bright setting, as the color gets too muddy, and it should make the lamp last longer. The lack of adjustments mean you really would not want to put it in a fixed position from a ceiling mount. Small movement is a big change in the picture. And as it ships inside a backpack, it really is portable so I will be taking it to my remote cabin. The screen and projector set me back about a quarter of the price of the 61 sony rear projection 275 lb system I bought in 1999 that this replaces. 5 |

I am very pleased with this projector. Projecting onto a 10' screen from a Blu-Ray player, regular DVD's look very good and Blu Ray looks excellent. 720P is definitely good enough for me. I think the uprezing of regular DVD's from my Sony BDP-S570 Blu Ray player improves the contrast and look of regular DVD's. I am super impressed watching regular DVD's this way although of course on analysis they do look softer than Blu-Ray discs. Black levels are not super black but are fine. In regular viewing I do not notice any DLP issues. If I scan my head back an forth really quickly I notice a bit of rainbow effect, but seriously who does that when they are watching a movie? I just did it out of curiosity! Projector is small, light and I see the lamps are comparatively cheap. This for me makes a difference as I do not have to think of the cost of running the projector when lamp replacement is half the cost of some other projectors. I am using the lamp on economy/long life mode and it is plenty bright. Fan is audible but not distracting once the movie is playing. The one issue that should be considered is placement. With only a 1.05x lens finding a suitable place to mount the projector and a suitable screen size and placement took a fair amount of thought. I would say the image quality is higher sending it a 720P image from the Blu Ray player compared to a 1080P image and letting the projector downrez. Also the projector switches from different resolutions with no visible hiccups when this method is chosen. Bottom line - for the modest cost this is an excellent budget projector. Rating reflects that. It surpassed my expectations. 5 |

I originally ordered a 10' Awol projector and screen. I sent it back during the 30 day return and ordered the 98" Sony Bravia XR. Way better and I really don't notice the difference too much from the 120" to the 98", but the picture is way better now. 5 |

This cart is at the right height and rolls easily. We have a projector and a DVD player on the cart and like it. 5 |

I've worked for a production company/rental house for 17 years. The MKH 416 boom mic was a rental staple. Durable with quality sound. Now that I am freelance, I had to have this in my arsenal. 5 |

I did a quick comparison at the rental house, swapping this and the Canon (mkII I believe) and looking at a 17 monitor. It's a little bigger and heavier than the Canon, and the mechanics aren't as buttery smooth. It also might breathe just a little more. But the image quality is the same, the AF seems the same, and the price can't be beat. I thought it might look better than the Canon (I'd earlier compared the 18-35 Art to the 24-70/2.8L and was impressed by how much more cinematic the Sigma looked), but I couldn't tell a difference. (Not really surprising, I think the 70-200/2.8 is one of Canon's nicest lenses.) 5 |

I own an audio/video rental company in Los Angeles. This mount fits every projector that I have. It sets up easily, it's solid as a rock and the fine tune fuction is very useful. 5 |

We use it for live events as a rental option and Is great projector and brand. We have purchased 2 more, but in an accident, the lens broke. How can it fix or change the lens? 5 |
