Dvd Region Encoding

This DVD player will play several formats including dive. It is also a multi-region player. The previous one I had lasted for years. I hope this one will too.

We use the PCI Express to input our live stream encoding feed from the program out of our ATEM switcher. The SDI card is simple and to the point. Easy setup. Perfect integration into our Blackmagic system. Exactly what we needed.

Using the card for encoding using windows media encoder and it has worked flawlessly. It's a far less expensive IO card then the other major streaming interfaces on the market. Media Express that comes with it only works with a limited list of codecs so third party applications are needed to play standalone video files. In my testing it works great with FCP and Adobe.

It does what is says. I love the device and really wish I could afford more. It is small and solid. Unfortunately it does not have a ProRes chip in it so the encoding is all done by the computer. Just in case anyone is confused like I was, this unit will not do any stand-alone conversions between SDI and component or the like in the manner that the V4HD does. The V4HD is one of a kind and superior product in all respects to this and the IO HD.

I use this Mac Pro as a home computer but do some video editing and encoding. I replaced a very fast G5 but this Mac Pro's encoding times are just a fraction of the time my G5 took to encode. Managing my picture and music libraries also take just a fraction of the time. With 2 young kids I just don't have the time to tinker around on PC's anymore. This thing does exactly what I need it to do in minimal time. More time to spend with the kids. ...

As I've grown my live stream production company, I've tried a bunch of different encoding solutions. The LiveU Solo is BY FAR the BEST! -simple and user friendly -web interface is easy to use and very clean -stream quality is the cleanest I've ever seen out of an encoder to this day(better than pc and teradek encoding) -battery power lasts so long -cellular bonding service is a huge plus just praying they create a decoder soon!

I do a lot of compiling and video encoding and this CPU is a monster. It even over-clocks a bit with just a minor voltage boost.
