Dw Smart Practice Kit

From buying High and low end-priced DW and PDP hardware for my drum kit, I've learned what many have said about DW: you get what you pay for. This 5100 throne is very comfortable, adjustable and fatigue resistant. The swivel & lock features are worth the extra$$. I tend to sit on the edge and there is no wobble. I can also sit farther back and not get my circulation in my legs cut off. For people w/ back issues I would add on a backrest. Short folks should pay attention to the measurements as it won't go lower than stated.

The kit was a lot bigger, and contained a lot more stuff than I thought. Not sure why I wasn't expecting the big carrying case, as it is listed clearly in the specifications. The kit comes with a lot of adapters to connect to your camera lenses. It will definitely give me a lot of practice with lighting...diffusers, colored gels included. I think one of my favorite things is actually the book that has some example photos along with how the photo was lit inside. If you're not sure how to start, the book is a good way to get some inspiration. I've only had a chance to use the flashes once, and I notice that the flashes can rotate a little as you move the camera. As long as you have your camera on a tripod and set up, that shouldn't cause an issue there. I do try to hand-hold with a macro lens from time to time to practice my camera holding technique at close range; that would be the only (very minor) drawback.

It took a while to burn up a couple of rolls of film so I could use this kit. I had time to practice loading the film and getting things in order so I could get the film in the Can in the dark. One canned, everything went like clockwork and I was able to develop my 1st 2 rolls of film on my own. Turned out great. Love this kit, was a great purchase.

Very happy with my purchase.  This is a beautiful, well made piece of kit.  It does take some time getting use to what this lens does (240 practice frames so far) but the results show a lot of potential.

I use a DW 5000 pedal and it works perfectly so far. No complains and happy with the purchase.

I bought this camera along with my purchase of an entire NVR system to replace old DW system. I can't believe how crystal clear the images are. The overall NVR & POE system was easy to set up, including the mobile app. The physical installation of the cameras (18) was bit more complex, but doable. One should have experience with camera installs, or have a good electrical handyman do it. Extremely happy with Lorex system.

I have a Brother's HL-22700 DW laser printer which uses the TN450 refill. I use the printer all of the time to save on money and often print material in book form. The refill cartridge was easy to install in the printer and ready to go in a matter of a few minutes. The carriage has operated without flaw.

I've used an S&S Industries kick trigger with my DW5000 since 1996. The KD-7 was very easy to attach to my DW Pedal, plays just like my S&S, has wonderful sensitivity and sounds great with my TD-5 brain.
