I decided to buy these after seeing it on sale for half off. The design is very close to the Sony MDR V6, but the ear pads don’t fit over my whole ears like the MDRs. The build feels premium. Out of the box the sound quality is reasonable. I didnt need to break them in. Its great for watching movies and listening to music. I even use it while sleeping. I can tell the sound quality difference when comparing it to my ATH-M50x and Sony MDR V6. The SMH-1000 doesn’t sound as open, unless you turn up the volume all the way. For the price I got them for I can’t complain. They are much better than any other mid-range brands. 5 |

Works as intended, and got it during a sale. I'm using it as a secondary power conditioner to my PL-Plus DMC so I can run speakers separately. Overall, I'm very happy with the PL-8C and would recommend it to anyone with a rack. 5 |
