With the current restrictions on shipping lithium polymer batteries, AC adapters are sorely needed for studio assignments that have larger numbers of photos that need to be people.

What can I say about the luttle lithium batteries,,,, for powering something that neds a strong burst of power like a camera, they're where it's at...! I also use them in my little hand-held TASCAM D-05 mini-recorder (also from B & H), and they're the tops in pops...!

i love the fact that the receivers never need batteries since they get the power from the AC to the strobes. Likewise, I expect the lithium batteries for the transmitters to last months/years no worries during a photo session.

I have used Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries for many years. They have high output and are always reliable. Never had a problem with leakage in any device I've installed them in. Their shelf life is unsurpassed. When used in my electronic flash they deliver short recycle times and linear voltage. In my opinion, Energizer Ultimate Ultimate batteries do not disappoint and I highly recommend them.

18650-type lithium rechargeable batteries are very popular for high-powered LED flashlights. These batteries have a high energy content (up to 13 watt-hours) and are capable of high peak current discharge (up to 40 amps); they should not be stored loosely such that an accidental short-circuit could occur! This carrier is made of very tough, flexible rubber, about 2 mm thick. It securely holds the batteries and protects the battery contacts. Unlike a tray-type carrier, this carrier allows single cells to be removed or inserted without allowing the other cells to become loose. You can carry extra batteries in your toolkit or range bag without fear.

I picked up 2 of these - thinking that, if they work, they'll give me some flexibility for not a lot of money. I installed the adapter on a 5600k 1080 LED panel light, then installed 2 x generic new-ish 8800 mAh / 65 Wh L series batteries. At full power, the light ran for just under 100 minutes. Then I tried installing 2 older Sony NP-F570 batteries - 2100mAh / 15.8 Wh. The light wouldn't power up. The lesson I'll take from this test is to use only high-capacity batteries. The tabs that hold the batteries in place are plastic. This wouldn't be a robust solution in a production environment, but I'd recommend it if you have a lot of L series batteries and might occasionally need to power something that has a V-mount plate.

Sony NP-FW50 batteries are 7.4V, and this battery plate has a DC output for both 7.4V and 12V, meaning you can power Sony a-series cameras off an l-series battery. In other words, you're never going to run out of power again if you have a cage and a few spare l-series batteries, which are way cheaper than buying numerous NP-FWs. Super simple, super well made, and does what it needs to.
