Use: On- and off-camera applications for independent film projects; used in conjunction with Canon XL equipment, field recorder and mixer for both studio and field sessions. Pros: Very good sound quality, with great off-axis rejection. Solid performance at a remarkably low price. I plan on getting another for matched multi-channel studio work. Cons: Phantom power only (not a constraint for my needs). 5 |

Use as a scout camera for commercial film production, it works well and doesn't kill us with overly large images in the process. Good performer, robust & well constructed. Kit lens is surprisingly much better than expected... batteries life seems a little short (as it always does - lol.) but we just pack an extra plus a usb cord and keep it charged off a 12v charger in the location vehicle. Great cam for this type of work. 5 |
