Easy To Use Firewall Appliance

Great little box for a firewall appliance. I have been running pfSense on mine without hiccups. Installation was trouble free and, so far, it’s been powerful enough to run Suricata and pfBlockerNG. CPU temp stays between 45 and 47 F. A bit noisy at startup, but silent during operation. Also tested Sophos UTM and it was fine with it. Highly recommend.

Bought this for a small NAS to replace the failed drive. Easy swap, the appliance recognized the drive properly and began rebuild. Drive came as advertised, hopefully it will last many years.

Sophisticated appliance, very easy to get setup and operating, but has capability far beyond typical retail consumers. Impressive threat management capabilities and integration with Ubiquity products is slam dunk easy and self configuring.

I'm a network administrator and 8nhave been looking for a firewall solution that was more cost effective than the overpriced Dell TZ firewalls we have been using up to now. This thing has the throughput even with DPI and Intrusion Prevention on. Setup is super easy. Can be managed remotely without the need for Certificates. No subscription license fees. GUI is easy to read and very informative. All for less than a third of the price of weaker solutions.

I bought this router as my main firewall device. The user interface is easy to learn and has lots of settings. I like having this dedicated router and putting another wireless router behind it. The commercial routers tend to simplify the security settings, which gives you less control.

We have had a Roku for at least 4 years and still enjoy all we can watch. Great little appliance.

Need to turn of firewall to communicate. My fault. It does what I want now.
