Ebay Apple G5 Computer

Been using OWC RAM in my Mac's since the Apple G5... solid and reliable...

this computer is fast and its apple... what more can I say.

I use this Mac Pro as a home computer but do some video editing and encoding. I replaced a very fast G5 but this Mac Pro's encoding times are just a fraction of the time my G5 took to encode. Managing my picture and music libraries also take just a fraction of the time. With 2 young kids I just don't have the time to tinker around on PC's anymore. I recently bought a used iMac and it was still under it's 1-year warranty, so I opted for the extra protection of AppleCare. This is the second iMac I have owned. The first was an iMac G5. First off, this was a great computer and I used it A LOT the first three years while doing freelance design work while in school. In that time, which was thankfully covered by AppleCare, I had the power supply unit replaced, the SuperDrive go bad, and then a hard drive die. AppleCare made the replacements and repairs quick and easy. I used it for nearly 6 years before it finally died on me (the dreaded G5 bulging capacitors, eek!), and had to wait several months before I could afford another. Knowing no computer is invincible, I get AppleCare just in case. It covers such a range of hardware troubles that the extra cash is worth the time and money saved in the event of problems. Not only is it a good value, but the AppleCare reps are friendly and helpful. Don't skimp on this -- buy it straight away when you get a new Mac. Even if you get a used Mac and it is still in it's first year, it is eligible for AppleCare, so don't leave B&H without it in your cart.

At the current B&H price this computer is an excellent value. I am especially impressed with the silence of this computer which is an important consideration when doing audio processing. (my previous G5 Quad was excessively noisy at times.) The internal design is super: very easy installation of memory and hard drives significant improvement over the G5. Works fine with Adobe CS4 products. ...

I purchased a knockoff brand off of eBay.� It was a total failure! This genuine Apple Digital AV Adapter works great and is a good bit smaller in size than the generic knockoff.

EXCELLENT CHOICE for any Apple computer.

One of those things you need to have, but wish Apple would include with your computer. Works great.
