Ebay Usb Midi Fader Control

I needed a MIDI fader -- just one -- to help with the operation of an iPad app (Luminair) that controls LED lighting using DMX. The app is very well thought out, but it can be difficult to dim the Master output without inadvertently hitting another control (like the Black Out Button). Using a MIDI controller for the Master was the solution, and the nanoKONTROL2 was the least expensive option I could find. Bonus -- it has 8 faders plus a bunch of other MIDI controllers and switches. All I needed to make it work was the USB camera connector for iPad. No configuration necessary other than to tell Luminair to learn which knob or fader I am working. Now I can use the Master fader as well as change intensities on 7 other fixtures with those faders. Just what I needed, and then some. For under $ what more could you ask for?

The Korg nanoKontrol Studio is one of the USB MIDI keyboards certified for use with a Sound Device MixPre 10ii recorder. It connects to the USB-C port of the MixPre, and is automatically recognized and configured. The faders and start/stop controls are marked and permanently configured, as are the record and mute buttons. The dials control the trim, low cut frequency and pan settings, depending on the selected scene. It's all very straight-forward for real time control, superior in every way to the tiny knobs and endless menus of the MixPre.

Does literally everything you could want in a midi utility device including midi over wifi with no noticable latency, advanced midi translations, and up to 30 usb port extention to stack and rout all of your midi usb devices, you can control it remotley with a computer, ips device or rasbery pi, I programed my rasbery pi to control the system with all of my bomeboxes and comuputers sending and receiving midi, all of midi device are accessible by any other midi device or computer on my studios network, truley a gamechanger!

This little Midi Box is a welcome addition to my Midi Configuration Studio needs. At first I was reluctant to purchase it because I felt it was a bit expensive for a Midi Interface... but it is worth it. I own both a MixPre 10T and 10ii. My chief issue was the fact that USB recording to a computer was post fader, whereas pre fader internally. This made it impossible to mix in real time for listening or feed to a camera or board without affecting the external recording. Firmware upgrade 5.01 changed that. Now there are 12 USB channels, which can be assigned to any input, and 1-10 can be either pre or post fader. This allows the both the 10T and 10ii to work like a split console. The headroom and low noise afforded by 32 bit float recording in the 10ii is amazing, but only internally. The USB feed is only 24 bit, without any improvement in head room. I'm still hoping. 5.01 also fixed the automatic copy to a thumb drive. The red record light flashes during the transfer, and it doesn't crash if you look at it crooked as before.  Bluetooth remote operation is also improved, with line-of-sight control possible at 50' or more. I highly recommend 10 MixPre 10ii for mobile recording.

I was excited for this audio interface to come out because of the two headphone outputs for monitoring, multiple output port options on the back, in-built additional USB-A ports, and that it operates by USB-C. Also I heard great reviews online. The in-built usb ports are great, so that I don't have to have as many adapters from USB C to USB A for my laptop with other devices. I first heard of Arturia when I was in the market for a midi keyboard, and so far, they do not disappoint. A massive bonus for me is how this interface is much smaller than I expected, which is amazing. Plus, it comes with power plugs for different countries. It doesn't HAVE to be plugged in to power (unless you want to use the interface's additional in-built usb ports for something like a midi keyboard), so that is nice, but also good to have the ability for extra usb ports. It would be even better if it didn't have the need to be plugged in to get power to the usb ports to power my midi keyboard, but I can live with that compromise because I think that's just literally a physical necessity (I don't think there's anything out there at the time of writing that could do that without a power supply). The small form factor is great for me since I travel a lot, and I don't expect to need to replace this interface for a long time since it's perfect for my needs.
