Worked perfectly fine for this year's eclipse, without having to buy a glass filter the exact right size. During totality, it had to quickly come off the lens, and that was relatively simple. Will I save it for another eclipse? 5 |

Been a fan of Glimmer Glass as a slightly different alternative to Black Pro Mist. A little less bloom in the highlights than the same grade of Black Pro Mist. I have them on all my photo lenses. 5 |

This Nikon NC glass filter is certainly expensive relative to alternative 77mm clear glass filters from other brands. But then why scrimp on a few dollars when you choose to pay a premium for a Nikon lens? As to the question, Why use an NC filter in the first place? Relative to the repair or replacement of a damaged front element on a lens, this is a small price to pay for peace of mind. 5 |
