I live in the Texas Hill Country and investigated lots of filters for photographing the annular solar eclipse, 10/14/23, and the upcoming total solar eclipse in April 2024. I went with the Hoya and was not disappointed. The filter worked beautifully and protected my Nikon D850 and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens.
