Eclipse Glasses South Jersey
anyonymous | 2024-07-12 03:26:51 |
So I had a shoot In South Jersey. It was for a Doc. about race boats and their crews. We where using a HVX200A and a pair of Lectrosonics and a boom running into a 302 then to a field recorder. And of course we forgot our clapper that we left in NYC. We where trying to think of anything we can use to sync up the audio to the video. Everything from clapping hands infront of the cam to stopping at @ and buying 2 blocks of wood we can just clap. Then we stopped at some local DVD store and sure enough was this gift. We bought it for cheap price and noticed the clapper itself was stiff and wouldnt swing fast enough to make a loud clap. A little bit of WD-40 and bam. The slate was working like a champ. By the 50th clap a pice broke off but nothing a little Gaf. Tape couldnt fix, it got the job done. Two thumbs up for this clapper, it really saved the day for us. 5 |

Not much to say. Works well for photographing an eclipse. It was only partial with some clouds at times in New Jersey. Playing with exposure allowed for some capture of cloud detail or simple straight shot with no clouds. Holding ASA at 100 you can experiment with a wide range of aperture and shutter for differing effcts. 5 |
