Worked perfectly fine for this year's eclipse, without having to buy a glass filter the exact right size. During totality, it had to quickly come off the lens, and that was relatively simple. Will I save it for another eclipse?

Moderately priced, along with the filter also it came with a professional level solar eclipse viewing glass for free. Overall well built solar filter. I attached it on the top of Nikon 600mm F4 VR lens. Satisfied with the rep who helped me choose the right filter size.

Children sneeze (protein - yuck!), dogs lick (eeyew!!!) and babies touch everything!!! PS Always use a rear lens cap when the lens is off the camera.

The most expensive singular item I have ever purchased (outside of a car and home). Very clear glass, smooth zoom and bright reticle. A bit heavy, but acceptable for the intended use.

It was time to step up to some good glass for car feature shoots. I wanted something with a good bokeh that would get the car super crisp and called B&H's customer service and talked with Ben. I had been looking at the Tamron and Nikkor 70-200s as well, but after talking to Ben, he said I would be pleased with the performance of the Sigma and boy was he right! I even use it for some close-up work for a different look and it does a fantastic job. It does do a little vignetting all the way out at 200, but Lightroom fixes it no problem. The cars have come out super crisp, even handheld, despite it being quite heavy! I can't be more excited with this lens!

This filter is great for shooting video through glass doors, house and car windows, and the like. You screw the filter in, choose your shot, and then rotate the filter to tune out the reflections. You really need to shoot from a fixed position because if you move the camera obviously the reflections will interact differently with your filter/lens. I'm looking forward to videoing koi as this should work with reflections on water in the same way it does glass.
