Ecobee Window Air Conditioner

Great addition to your Ecobee environment. Easy to install and they alert quickly when a door or window is opened. Great features packed product. Can be easily added to your Apple HomeKit setup. Just remember as the instructions state to make sure you know exactly where you are placing them and how they will work when opening or closing a window or door before you pull the cover off the two sided mounting tape and mount them.

This is my third set of these sensors. They are super simple to setup and their battery life is very good. The sensors connect to your Ecobee thermostat so you must have one of those for these to function. I subscribe to Ecobee's basic security plan and with that you get the added feature of these sensors telling the thermostat that a window/door has been left open and the thermostat will not run the HVAC to save energy until the window/door is closed. Don't worry, this is all configurable with which SmartSensor(s) will trigger the HVAC shutdown. I would like to add one more small remark. There are many options when shopping for smart home products like the Ecobee smart thermostat and these sensors. The one thing that sets Ecobee apart is the fact that they just work. I've never had to tend to them after we've lost power or the internet goes down. When our service is back online, so is Ecobee. It's refreshing when a company puts as much quality and attention to detail into their software as they do their hardware. I have nothing but good things to say about Ecobee and their smart devices. It's refreshing when smart devices just work.

Have had the door/window sensors with the Smart Camera with voice controls for a few weeks now and have been very surprised with the performance so far. We currently have a wired home security system we have been thinking of replacing, and think we will be going with the Ecobee Security. When one of the doors is opened the Ecobee sensors actually notify my phone a half second before the wired alert from our current system, very impressive. Also love these sensors have motion sensors built in, big plus and help. So far the only flaw we’ve seen is that the camera will go “offline” and cannot view live video, but it seems to still records when someone enters in front of the camera and the sensors performance has not been effected by this. Usually a quick unplug/restart of the camera fixes this, but would like to find out if this is a widespread issue or just my camera doing this. Overall very happy with these products and will be testing the security suite to see how well it performs, and also plan on upgrading our AC Thermostat with the Ecobee one as well.

I have one of these set up on the front door and the window to my child's window. These are small discreet and super sleek in design. Very impressive technology that gives me a bit of relief knowing there's one more line of protection for my children and home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ecobee SmartSensor pack contains 2 small, minimalist style, white door and/or window contact sensors. They're very easy to place/stick next to a window or door and activate. I like how the chartreuse colored indicator light will turn on when the window and/or door is closed and then off when either is open. I tested mine out on a window. Overall, these SmartSensors have a simple, yet effective design. No complaints here!

This speakerphone is very clear on both ends. Was able to hear the other person speaking clearly even when my portable air conditioner was running in the room.

As always B&H was very quick to send the package out and it was what we ordered no problem. Our only problem is that the air conditioner is apparently too loud for even this windscreen to totally block the noise. It does a much better job but the mic is apparently extremely sensitive to all sound.

I got this because during the hot months I can't run my air conditioner and computer at the same time due to neighborhood brownouts. If I turn the air conditioner off the computer overheats. This covers the outtages so I can work in comfort without unexpectedly rebooting every few minutes. Thanks!

Electrical power spikes occur for many reasons and your sensitive electronics won't survive unless you have a quality surge suppressor. Most products sold as surge supressors only provide a low level of protection and are little more than power bars. The Isobar offers a high level of protection and, unlike most other surge suppressors, will isolate each outlet from surges caused by other appliances plugged into it. Case in point, I needed to use an air conditioner on the same outlet as a computer. The Isobar effectively protects the computer from power surges as the air conditioner cycles on and off.
